I own Orange Box and it's far from a 10/10 experience, even with so many games for the price. Maybe they are scoring it on the premise you've never played HL2 yet - in that case it's probanly worth a high score.
I'll read my copy when the post turns up tomorrow...
...and if you are still of the mind that the PS3 has graphical power problems, you're an idiot. A complete and verified idiot that loves nothing than BS FUD.
It would just take one company to say "We're bailing out and making a console that craps on the unified system." and the whole stupid idea will collapse overnight.
When you see a game with Gears' level of graphic detail running in massive maps at such speed on the PS3... it makes you wonder what the other devs are doing so wrong when they moan about the console.
Just wondering...
And talking of fictional heroes... MC > JC.
Mass Effect looks absolutely gorgeous, and I'll certainly be picking it up, but the 2 guys at the console look like talking waxworks. The visuals, once again, have surpassed the facial animations.
Full body animations are as good as they're going to get thanks to mo-cap, but I just wish they'd work on a system of realistically and convincingly animating facial movements.
...there are times when you can't ignore such high critical praise. Until I saw the 10/10 scores rolling in one after the other, I had little interest in Bioshock. I'm still reserving judgement until this Friday, but I'd be a fool to not give it a try.
People will see the 120GB, HDMI Elite going for £100 less than the 60GB PS3 and make a very quick decision.
1. People ARE complaining about all the Bluray vs HD-DVD stories. More so than Bioshock review posts.
2. Should review scores be considered 'news' - this is NEWS for gamers, not Metacritic.
3. Isn't it depressing that high game scores are considered news-worthy? It's a sad reflection on the state of gaming - we should be seeing more than just one game in any month recieving such praise, surely?
4. Can't wait to pick up Bioshock ;)

Maybe N4G should be renamed BS4G.
How can we all learn to live together in harmony if we make out that our zombie brethren are nothing but flesh-eating undead savages that need their heads blown off?
...if you mean 'videogame damage' or 'real damage'. In games like PGR, you can continue racing after a +200mph head collision with a wall. In real life, a 20mph wall crash will right-off your car - how annoying would that be for gamers!
I understand the problem Polyphony have with car damage; if they do it, they will make it realistic, but if they make it realistic, gamers will turn it off. Also, certain manufacturers cars may fair better than others and they certainly won't a...
But I know for certain, Sony isn't.
This one statement is a cynical admission of the true nature of the DLC. What we'll be getting is a few inconsequential missions that were created for no other reason than to make our wallets a little lighter.
Is that this summer, or spring/summer 2008?
Eddie Griffin. And it was when he was shoeing off at a publicity event for the movie, not during the actual filming.

Can you really make out pixel detail in a 425x320 youtube video?
After reading coverage of the trial on BBC, it's clear that he wasn't a 'normal' boy as his mother claims. He was a loner and unpopular at school, though not unintelligent. He spent all the time on his own researching serial killers, and was planning a coup in Africa!
Discussed throughout the trial was the question of his mental state. It seems highly likely he has Asperger’s syndrome - a form of autism. Asperger’s does not make you a killer by default, but sufferers cannot fee...
I own a PS3, but would love a HD-DVD player too. Problem is that the cheapest HD-DVD player over here is the HD-E1 selling for £179.99 (374 USD).
Desperation? I don't care, this is why competition is good, and I want Toshiba to get 'desperate' in the UK :)
