Well written article. He makes a very good point, however based on the glory of the 80's and 90's other markets in the world have finally been able to learn and educate themselves to code and write games in a fashion that are what sells the most these days. Confusing quirky titles that seem to be the norm of Japanese developers have lost their appeal and unless they can come up with something new and exciting, they are going to continue to lose steps and slowly fade.
I wanted a zombie mode of some sort in this game. With them bypassing it, I am going to cancel my pre-order. That feature was make or break for me, because the rest of the game isn't exactly above and beyond the other ones out there right now.

That is NOT funny. The Gold service I don't feel is worth the $50. All you get is 12yr old kids or people who do nothing but drop f-bombs every two seconds on chat and Xbox doesn't ban them no matter how many complaints you submit.
Warhawk is still a lot of fun to play here and there. I never bothered with MGO, maybe I should give it a whirl.

With the lighting issues in Doom 3 and the lackluster gameplay in Quake IV, I am still gunshy to look into Rage at this point.
Disgaea, Disgaea 2, Phantasy Star Portable, PSX classics. PSP has me happy and keeping busy quite well.

the MP beta felt too much like Bad Company 2. I don't need to pay a premium PC game price 60$ for a game I paid 50$ and am still playing on a regular basis online. Sorry MOH, your 'rebirth' is not going to be well received I think.

Something is better than nothing. I'll take ME2 on PS3 with no ME 1, I don't really care.
To many companies are doing too little with DLC and still getting profits from people who purchase it. As a whole boycotting DLC that is either too little, or lame in general will be the only thing that will lead to either better DLC or development of games that have more content out of the gate. As the years have been going by, more and more the masses are putting their foots down.
The Call of Duty fans are a different breed. They buy anything that they are told to :-)
I plan on buying both so I don't really care about how one looks over another. That would be like putting Bad Company up against Call of Duty 4. WHO CARES!

Normally I would never do something like this. But MAG is really a fun game and the more you play the more exciting it gets. I like the .99 idea for a slot. I'll be doing this for sure!
