I'm not gonna hate on Mr. Carmack because from what I've played of it, Rage has been a pretty badass game. But the texture pop-in is just absurd. The game in many ways is great looking, but in many ways looks like it was built on a dated engine. To blame the PS3 hardware for performance issues is crap. Especially when there are such eye-popping games on it that run so smoothly. Just give PS3 and PC gamers a firmware update to fix the glaring issues it has.
Are you effing kidding me? A complaint about the gameplay being the same as the first. The gameplay is the biggest highlight of this franchise. It's ridiculously fun to play. Hence the reason I played through the first one 3 times. I poop on this review. Nope, cancel that, it pooped on itself.
I'm gonna throw out a conspiracy theory for the hell of it. Note: I DO NOT ACTUALLY BELIEVE THIS. What if after noticing that PS3 was on the verge of catching up with Xbox 360 sales, a shady black-ops style Microsoft employee was given a mission of hiring hackers to screw up the PSN in order to curb sales and get people to switch to 360. Now there's a conspiracy theory. Dun dun dun!
Worst. Article. Ever. I got my journalism degree from the University of Derp
There is nothing not to like about this video. Great rendition of the MGS 2 theme. Thumbs up to this girl
Yay, another one of these articles filled with speculation and no relevance. Keep em coming guys. I think I'm gonna go Twitter something about the PSN outage possibly being related to a partnership between Sony and North Korea. I'm a journalist now!
It appears tat the core gameplay mechanics are in place. Thank god. The first game, although it had quite a few glitches in it, was a blast to play because of the way Cole could be controlled. Being able to climb on damn near everything never stops being fun for me.
The reason I don't wanna buy a Wii is because it has Wii Fit on it, which isn't a video game at all. I know I can play Zelda, Mario, Metroid and many other great games, but I'm afraid I will be forced at gunpoint to exercise using Wii Fit. Derp.
Great article and should hopefully shut up other people who are planning more PSN is down articles. I've been doing local co-op gaming with friends, which is a blast. Try grinding your way through Hard Corps: Uprising on Rising Mode with a friend. That shit will eat up some waiting time and improve your gaming reflexes in the process
I'll just add to the redundancy of comments. Netflix was never down. You just had to go through the motions of signing in, get the system maintenance message then your good to go.
To answer the title of this article; they are a bunch of computer geeks with nerd-rage who have a misplaced sense of self-entitlement. And have obviously taken many movies far too seriously. Also they are a prime example of what extended periods of time without direct human contact can do to you. They are not helping anyone. This will not usher in an age of better game prices or more open software. I'm just waiting for them to say "hack the planet!". Unoriginal douchebags
I just bought and downloaded a game from PSN with no problems. Unoriginal retards. Anything else you wanna say that was lifted from a movie. Oh, how about more V For Vendetta references. Because this situation is so much like the one in that movie... Nice Mass Effect 2 reference btw. Next we're gonna hear, "Hack the planet!" See what happens when you deprive yourself of direct human contact for extended periods of time? These kinda assholes.
This brings me back to Strider on the Sega Genesis
Having played every single one of these games, I'm gonna have to disagree on the order they were listed. Rapture in Bioshock was definitely the most atmospheric game world on this list. The rest were very good though
I want what he's smoking
If you're downloading to try before you buy that's understandable, because things like video games are not cheap. I like to download albums that leak early because I'm impatient. But I buy them afterward. Just downloading games and music and not buying them at any point is theft. "No ifs ands or buts". Coming up with a good justification doesn't change what it is.
Easy answer. Yes, piracy is theft. Acquiring consumer goods for free when the merchant is not giving them away for free is theft. No ifs ands or buts. It's stealing. A lot of us do it and it doesn't feel as criminal since it's all digital, but it is unquestionably theft. End of discussion.
Some cool ideas in there, but ultimately Infamous is all about the open world SP story and Sucker Punch would obviously prefer to make a huge, well-polished SP game than tack on an unnecessary online MP mode. Even though MP is being added to so many games now doesn't mean that everyone should jump on the bandwagon.
I haven't heard anything about the US getting a bundle. Seriously Sony, if there is one game for the PS3 that is going to be a real system seller, THIS IS IT! Christmas is coming up and I know a lot of people that would love this bundle. You are a large corporation. Large corporations like to earn large profits to add to their bottom line.
This bundle would be a golden opportunity to increase the PS3 install base and generate lots of holiday revenue. Goddammit Sony, if...
Lots of great jokes on here, but all joking aside, Dice did a fantastic job of optimizing the game for each respective platform. Great looking game. Can't wait to play it
