Like he said, Droid, you didn't seem to grasp the point of the article.
If we were talking about best looking graphics engines then yes, KZ2's engine would be right up there along with Cryengine 2/3 and Naughty Dog's engine.
The article is not questioning quality, only quantity. In the world of success measurement then I'm afraid quantity far outweighs quality.
Look at the spice girls for example, one of the most successful girl bands of all time, were they any good? No. ...
Yup and the wait till march (rether conveniently for PD) gives us a reason to buy GT PSP and get some decent cars bought, in preparation for March.
off topic: March is gonna be nuts for games, I'm gonna have to start saving now, GT5, GOW3, Mafia 2, FF XIII, Red Dead Redemption, amongst others!! Start saving people!
Personaly I thought the ad was a bit on the short side, I hope they start showing the full trailer soon. When you think about the stuff they could use to shout about it, like some of the excited quotes from reviewers and some scores, Sony really are selling it a bit short.
One that made me feel like crying, though I'm probably the only one, was at the end of Resistance 2. When the other dude (can't remember his name), turns to Hale and says "it's been a pleasure serving with you" (words to that effect) and you know it aint gonna end well for Hale :-(
Seems a shame that ppl have forgotten about KZ2 when talking about GOTY, just shows the quality that we have had this year. And next year is looking to be even better.
I agree, I think that pretty much everyone who wanted a Wii has one now, I don't think it's days are over or anthing but it's best days are well and truely behind it.
It does blow,I'm well pissed about this. It's probably because KY saw all the sad fanboy comments about the damage and add in the poor reviews for GT PSP, he probably thought 'no way this is goping out until it is 100% perfect' which is fine by me, I just wish I didn't have to wait so long.
I guess this might get even more sales for NFS Shift on PS3. I was in 2 minds about getting it and in the end I thought "I'll just wait for GT5" but there's no way I'm waiting till March ...
Dude, it is a joke, that's what my dad used to say if he wasn't interested in my opinion.
Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, they just shouldn't go voicing it as if it is fact.
It is true, recently this site in particular has gotten terrible.
90% of the comments and articles on here are fanboyish. It's never gonna stop though, everyone is just defending what they love and doesn't seem able to appreciated that not everyone feels the same as them, or really wants their opinion.
As my father always used to say "if I wanted your opinion I'd give you it".
I think the main problem is the way in which the report was delivered, there's nothing wrong with highlighting posible issues in consumer goods. But the way they did it was actually disgraceful, they told totaly unfounded half truths and didn't even research the subject properly. It was almost like children trying to bash something they don't like, very very un proffesional. I really do hope Sony sue them for what was most definately slander.
Seriously, the stupidity of some people astounds me.
Do you honestly believe that talented studios such as PD and T10 can't program in damage. They could easily put in damage such as we see in Burnout, but they're not allowed to! Think about any game you've ever played with licensed vehicles, NFS, Midnight Club etc, the damage in these games is no more than, or any more realistic than what you see here and yet they were never knocked because of it.
GT and Forza are trying to be ...
Looks great, but anyone who is really interested in this game probably doesn't care much for the damage. As long as the crash physics are good, like not just bouncing off other cars.
@1.6, those moveable barriers are actually made of plastic, and in reality wouldn't be much, if any, heavier than a traffic cone.
I can't disagree with the list as a whole, but in my opinion there is one massive omission.
Why is The Phantom Menace not on there!? That game was awesome, way better than a couple on the list.

Just to quote the first line from OPM UK's review,
"Unless you are blind or have no thumbs, it's clear Uncharted 2 is a 10/10 game."
Nuff said.

You kinda knew that was coming though, so it wasn't too sad. Whats sad is the thought of the torment in poor Kratos' head.

All we need now is a PS3 Jak and Daxter!
I agree, I think that pretty much everyone who wanted a Wii has one now, I don't think it's days are over or anthing but it's best days are well and truely behind it.
Apparently the physics engine in the full GT5 has been completely overhauled since GT5p, so I'm sure it will be very different.
Each to their own though.
My thoughts exactly.

I seem to remember IW saying that the map packs would be released on both consoles at the same time.
Anyway who bloody cares, it's gonna be awesome no matter what you play it on.
Can't wait.

Seriously though, who disagreed with Fishy? Care to explain yourself?
