Looks like it was Wailin' Palin.
That's an excellent point, MACHone. I have kids that are just getting into gaming. I was out for a while and have recently gotten back into it because of them. I never had a Game Cube. Although I've purchased a few used Game Cube games for the Wii, I see this as a better solution for me. A lot of the used games carry a high price tag, i.e. Pikmin. I've seen used copies of Melee selling for more than new copies of Melee (Game Stop vs. Circuit City).
For the people complai...
It's not a shortage story. It's a storage story. Before you get your panties in a bunch, read the headline properly. You also may want to get that rage problem checked out.
Of course it's a legitimate statement, but if you don't support it with anything it becomes a meaningless statement. Maybe if you support your questions or statements you'll be taken more seriously. Just a thought.
I think it's all about marketing and at this point, Nintendo has done the best job of it. They've differentiated the Wii enough from the other consoles to not have to do a price cut, imo. Until demand goes down, I wouldn't think you'd see a price cut anyway.
I don't know about you, Mr. Weymes. A few months back you were bragging on the Wii that you owned and now your "girlfriend" owns it and you're bashing it? I think you may want to get your identity straight, my friend.
You've made me question my decision about buying a Wii with that comment. Was it a mistake to buy the Wii? What does my future hold regarding gaming?
Nah, I'm just messing with that tiny head of yours.
I like it when the PS3 fanboys come in here and rip the Wii. It tells me that they are questioning their decision. Quite frankly I don't check out a list of software coming out for a system I don't own. I'm quite happy with the Wii and the selection of games that I have and those that are due to be released. I have a family and my needs are diverse as far as gaming is concerned and the Wii fits the bill.
I find the comments that these people make kind of entertaining.
That was two months ago.
Rest assured, the scores of these games will be higher than your I.Q., CroKiller.
I see this as a great "game" for young kids to experience music and learn about instruments. I think it's ridiculous that some people think that every game is or should be targeted at them. It's a pretty selfish and immature attitude to think that games shouldn't be made for others to enjoy.
A great control scheme can make a game great. Great graphics don't necessarily make a great game. I'd take a great control scheme and mediocre graphics over great graphics and a mediocre control scheme any day. That's just my opinion. Sometimes great graphics are just like putting lipstick on a pig.
@ Cenobia
The ignorance of your comment speaks for itself. You say that the pointer controls suck, yet you have little to no experience with them. Nice point, man.
I'm confused by your comment a bit. According to you, nobody bought the Gamecube, yet Nintendo is ripping people off by making them repurchase the same machine with a new controller scheme. To me that sounds like they're hardly ripping anyone off. According to your argument, they must be getting new customers. So, why the rage?
It's actually 3.5 out of 5, not 10.
I'm not sure why you're frustrated. If the console you like kicks the Wii's ass in processing power, graphics, storage, etc., and it has an awesome lineup of games, why are you so frustrated that the Wii is selling? In fact, why are you commenting here? Shouldn't you be playing some awesome game on your awesome console instead of commenting here about a console you think sucks ass anyway?
The Wii appeals to the masses because it something for everybody. I liken the people that complain about the graphics to the audiophiles who have to have a certain amp and certain cables because they make such a "difference" in sound. For most people, it's all bout the music, not what it comes out of or exactly how it comes out. People that buy the Wii just want to play games. Nintendo has great games and the game-play they provide is fun. It's that simple really. They appeal ...
No matter what ply you use you should still wash your hands with soap and water. That's old school hygiene.
You're right. Hot topic. Too many posts to keep up with. :-)
Well stated, Jeff.
