Why would a console make a piece of software suck balls as you say? Your comment makes no sense.
I work in IT and get moved around from project to project. Nintendo is no different than any other company. People move around from project to project all of the time. Let's hope some projects that have been mentioned above (Star Fox, F-Zero, etc.) are in the works.

I think I saw one of them there Casuals today. He was in a fancy car. Freaky lookin' buggers, them Casuals.
How old do you think someone has to be to qualify as elderly?
I still think the target audience is young kids, which is why maybe it seems so simple. I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. I don't think you're implying this but I also don't think this is meant to be an alternative to GH. I read IGN's review as well as 1 Up's. MTV has some thoughts out as well. Game Zone also has a review out as well. Right now the reviews are mixed and I think the reason for that is how these folks are approaching this particular piece of software.
I was just being a wise-ass, but I think if Nintendo reinvested some of their extra revenue into core game development, I think a lot of people would be happier with them. Like any company though, they're supposed to make money and let's face it, they're making a ton. I don't see them doing that just to make a small percentage of their customers happy. The key will be if they can get some of the expanded customer base into games like Star Fox, F-Zero, Brawl, Zelda, etc. then you'd see them...
I agree Captain. I guess every game, in these people's minds, is targeted at them. I think this is meant to be a kid's game to expose them to musical instruments, rhythm, melody, etc. I'd be interested in something like this for my kids (ages 4 and 7). I would play along with them, but I certainly couldn't see myself enjoying this title without them. I'm sure most people knocking this are the 12 - 18 year old crowd or people that can only think of themselves.
You invested $250 and you're now a babe magnet. Sounds like a bargain to me. Sounds to me like you're about on par intellectually with the babes you've been getting with your Wii.
I notice you've commented quite a bit on Wii music, but you actually missed commenting on some of the other instrument demo stories that are out. Don't forget those, ok?
Maybe someone with some sense reported it as spam. I agree with comments 4.1 and 4.2. Your comment, Official General, is just assenine. You should be demoted to Official Private.
I don't even think they have Wii's. (Take that any way you'd like.)
That would be awesome if they did, Product. Hopefully they offer up few control schemes, i.e. balance board, dual controllers w/ motion+... This is one of the games I'm really looking forward to. I think it's going to be a good one.
Sorry, I must have missed the essay entitled, "A real game to me is..." by ZackFair. You should also dust more often. It can get unsightly.
With the exception of Killa and the kid with the Village People Cop avatar, you guys make some good points. I think that you could define a hardcore gamer with a combination of what you all said. I think Mahr has a good point about time spent playing games. MiniMario and jtucker also make valid points. Games like Megaman, Mario Kart Wii, Brawl, Zelda, Zak and Wiki present different challenges and different levels of skill and they look and play differently. I think these are all hardcor...
Apparently the hardcore is a serious minority because quite a few people haven't forgotten Nintendo. What is the definition of hardcore anyway? I don't mean to offend anyone, but I think it's pretty goofy that people think of themselves as hardcore and that the hardcore of better than everyone else and more deserving than everyone else. Everyone else seems to be either "casual" or "kiddy". Either that or the console isn't beefy enough for people. Whatever happened to ...
You're not alone in that thinking, Jeff. I think the Wii has a pretty decent library of games from Nintendo and there looks to be more coming on the horizon. I think the majority of people complaining are the fanboys of other consoles. I think the Wii has something for everybody, which fits my needs perfectly due to the diversity of my family's gaming needs. I also like the fact that they'll be re-releasing some Game Cube games that my kids never had a chance to play. I think the hate is...
The rest of us will look to your wisdom and guidance try to make some sense of it, if we're capable of doing so.
@ Da I33t Monkey
You think because you play those games it makes you mature? You are seriously misguided. Games that people choose to play can tell you a lot about them, but level of maturity isn't one of those things. I can tell a lot about your level of maturity now and it isn't because of the games you listed.
@dericb
That has to be one of the dumbest thing I've heard said, although it's not the first time I've heard it said. You and a lot of others read this crap that someone else blogs about and you just repeat it over and over again. Stop me when these things sound familiar - soccer moms, grandmas, casuals, graphics suck... You all sound like pawns with no original thoughts of your own. I'm sure if you were president of Nintendo, you'd pass up all of this market and make "...
I agree, Product. I think this iteration of Mario Kart is one of the best. The only thing I'm really disappointed with is battle mode. I like the Wii wheel, and I think because of that the console really does improve the game in a sense.
