F-Zero might be your kind of game , but its not mine. I like proper racing games.
Mst of the time a firmware update in hardware onlu fixes problems with hardware or improves performance of hardware and does not add new features. So count yourself lucky Sony even added new features in these Firmware updates.
The main reason the Xbox 360 and PS3 fail is because Sony and Microsoft are catering for the customers. The customers care more about looks over proper cooling. I am not saying they need to make ugly consoles but they needed to add more ventillation grills to allow more airflow and have enough cooling fans (at least 120mm fans because smaller fans are really loud) in the console to keep the console cool , but as quiet as possible at the same time. Also they should have removable dust filters ...
I had a 60GB Ps3 for four and a half years and it got used every day.
I was'nt expecting anything new , but GT5 boots into the main menu much quicker for me. Loading a race is'nt any faster though.

@jivah : You must not have a clue what ram is needed for in a computer and console if you think that the speed of the ram is all that matters.
I have an Xbox 360 which I bought just for Forza. I got fed up of forza 3 six months ago and my Xbox 360 died a few weeks later so I then learned about Forza 4 and bought a second hand Xbox 360 three months ago. I got fed up of Forza 4 after three weeks because they throw too much credits at you after races and they give you free parts. So my Xbox 360 is lying dormant with a few weeks now.

Why cant developers release games that arent broken? It seems every game that is released these days is broken upon release.

Having an option to download a game digitally or have a hard copy is a great Idea.
We just need consoles that will run 1080P above 60FPS to match the refresh rates of good HD TV's now that have a refresh rate above 100Hz and we need a console with enough power to do this with at least 8X Anti Aliasing without compromising on graphics.

The AMD's newest 8 core CPU runs slower than the Intels 2500k and 2600k. In benchmarks the AMD overclocked to its max isnt a match for the Intel 2500K and 2600K at stock speeds. If you dont believe me look up the benchmarks for yourself. Also the Intel CPU's run much cooler than the AMD CPU's.
Dont get me wrong. I am changing to AMD as soon as I can because I've never had any luick with Intel parts , but Intel CPU's are faster and cooler.

@ Shackdaddy836 : You speak about having dual GPU's creatring too much heat , but still you want an overclocked CPU which will also cause a lot of heat. You need a CPU that will run @ at about 3.6GHZ 4 core's that wont cause a lot of heat like AMD chips. The Intel 2600K or 2700K would be perfect because at stock speeds they run cooler than the AMD CPU'...
