What I usually do with games that I bought with such DRM is I download the crack for the game I just bought and that way I no longer have any DRM issues.
With the NVIDIA Ray Tracing demo the garage and my GTX580 , core I5 760 @ 3.6GHZ and 8GB ddr3 1600MHz ram I see about 5FPS
he said onliVe was failing.
If they were to make it dead simple to upgrade then there should be no problem. Like for instance if they put the ram upgrade into a cartridge and just take out one screw to uncover the slot for the ram and then slot the ram in. The same with a graphics upgrade. they could have a graphics card upgrade to have two cards run in SLI or crossfire (or whatever system they want to use) and have that in a cartridge form too.
On the other hand if you look at the prices of peripherals...
Didnt their reliable source also say that the next gen consoles would be announced in CES 2012
That will never happen. That kind of setup will create too much heat
That was not my point> My point is that you said the GPU was $100 but they could put a better GPU in the next console without it costing them a whole lot of money. No matter what way you look at it the next console wont be cheap at first.
I take it they went for such a GPU so that they will have less heat issues. People are forgetting that the better the GPU the more heat it produces. You dont want your console to have overheating issues and have the RROD problem all over again. Yes the 6670 is not the most powerful GPU in the world but it is'nt the hottest running one either. Also the 6670 is a whole lot more poerful than what is in the 360 and if they use a 1GB model it should be powerful enough for a console.
Some people also forget that the prices they are seeing are Rteail prices. Microsoft will get a large discount on the GPU because it will be bought in bulk and also because of their relationship with the chip makers. What we pay for is $100 will be around $60 to them.
Why are these news articles getting approved with the wrong tags being approved lately? I looked here because the TAG said PC at the end but checking the Silent Hill Downpour website you can only pre-order it or Xbox 360 and PS3.
Unless the hardware inside runs very cool then most of those concepts wont work because they don't have enough ventilation to keep the insides cool. #1 and #5 are the only two that will work , but #5 needs a bit more ventilation.
Did yoda type that?
Intel CPU's are much better at overclocking than AMD's these days , but I've never had any luck with Intel hardware. I've been using Intel hardware with three years and I find it breaks a lot easier than the AMD's I used to have in my rigs for five years.
My current core i5 760 isn't the most stable and reliable piece of hardware in the world. The first socked 775 motherboard (Maximus Formula) was the fifth motherboard I had in the space of two months....
You would care if they brought out their next console and there was no next gen games to play on it. You have to think before you type.
Has it not dawned on some people that the lack of new IP's lately could possibly be because they are working on games for their next console release? I could be wrong but thats the way I am looking at it.
My case of choice at the moment is the Antec P280. I have a Corsair 800D right now and I really dont like it.
WOW! So they should have launched it at $250 and go bankrupt? They were selling the PS3 at a loss and still you complain about the price.
Some of you guys have no clue
I think Microsoft and Sony should make a joint console and stop with all the bickering between fans.
No wonder some games studios go broke when they spend money to develop some games and then abandon them.
If you want a silly sandbox game then play Saints Row.
