Of course its the best. Thats why I owned three of them and sold the last one over a year ago , but I still have my PS3. Ive had a PS3 since it was launched. Its a matter of opinion of which one is better. I porefer my PS3.

Hes not much of an analyst if he thinks that a console that will have High end PC components in it will sell for $350 - $400. A high end Core i5 is over 200 euro alone. If it was to have high end PC components then I would expect it to be over $600

Even though developers got used to developing for the Cell processor they are still complaining that its a pain to develop games for it. I would think that sony should go with a CPU / GPU (Something like the Intel i series CPUs with built in graphics) or a half decent quad core CPU and half decent GPU. They could go with a high end GPU but that will only drive the cost of the console up and a lot of people dont want a very expensive console.
@ decrypt : If you put an 8800GTX into a console the console would die within an hour because the 8800GTX got extremely hot. With the stock cooler it would reach up to 95 celcius.

You havent seen the Nvidia shield running games on 4K then and its not even on those GPU's
The PS4 and Xbox 720 will be $400 minimum. It will be newish tech which wont be cheap and they will probably be selling at a loss for a while.
Whatever size TV you have 4K will make a big difference to jaggies you see in games. Even if its a 32" TV the difference between 4K and 1080P will be big with jaggies. It wouldnt make as much difference as 2X AA > 4X AA but the difference would be very noticable because of the pixel density.
Heres some Ideas. First get rid of the bubble system , then get rid of the agree / disagree system. Then think of a TV show for yourselves.
This is kind of cool but if its like having a projector doing that then the room will need to be dark to have the full effect. Its kind of 3D without the glasses or headaches.

If the PS4 gets announced and released this year I cant see it hurting the PS3. Look at the PS2 and how long support for that lasted after the PS3 was released.
Sony must have thought it through that if your console dies that if you have to change your console then you contact them with proof of purchase of the game and your consoles serial number. Then if they see you own the game from new and that its not second hand then they give you a code or something to allow you to play the game on the new console. i could be wrong but it would make sense to work it that way.
