I would go for Dragon Age: Origins with DLCs; if you like that, then Dragon Age Inquisition with DLCs.

If you really like them both, go for Dragon Age II, but keep in mind, it's kind of a different game, toned down and more action oriented; play only if you're a fan of DA and want to get more of the story.

Personally, i would skip Veilguard, but that's up to you. At least, i would wait for deep sale. See a couple of revi...

But those are physical items, they need materials in order to be constructed and delivery to a store and then to the buyer.

Even if you've compared physical items to this skin (like a painting or a scuplture) - they can use expensive materials or require expensive processing. This skin just uses the regular color palette.

This is just a digital skin that you don't even own and can't get your money back by reselling it...

Define "political".
Explicit political messages? Subliminal ones? Things that are or can be political issues? Or something that people can consider political problems? Anything you personally consider problematic/in need of fixing? Or maybe if a game has any mentions or a government/monarchy/etc or problems associated with it?

As you can see, it's a pretty broad term. Doesn't mean that you're right or that only your interpretation should be up...

IMHO, «voice of reason» would never call people he disagrees with as «piranhas» or «ungrateful miscreants». But you do you on your "virtuous" quest.

P. S.: Ok, if you like to pretend you don't like those games - Dragon's Dogma 2. Skill Up likes that one and so are you. So that statement was a lie, now you agree, right? Thanks.

- I'll do it and you can't stop me
- No, it'll zap you

Hobbies doesn't need constant flow of money though, aside from buying materials or paying a rent (if you're using someone elses place or tools).

Examples:
- Pottery: you're buying the materials (clay and stuff), one-time purchase of turntable and oven;
- Arts/drawing: again, buy the materials (canvas, paints) and just draw;
- Photography: buy materials (paper and printer ink), one-time purchase of camera and printer...

> If the game is good and has positive previews then yeah it deserves a sale
Yes, i agree with you there, with the only exception that previews, to me, do not mean much, not after Cyberpunk 2077 and other fiaskos. But if previews are good, it's a reason to have the game on your radar.
In my eyes, you need to see/read reviews after the game release from the people whos opinion you kinda trust and you'll need to try out the game for yourself. ...

Gamers are at fault for what though?

This is not BioWare of old (Baldur's Gate, KOTOR, Mass Effect). They were on downward spiral for what, years? Yeah, literally years. They have no good faith left.
Personally, until i see some reviews from the people i kinda trust and (if reviews are good) until i try the game for myself, i will not be wasting a cent. This is EA we're talking about, come on, dude, no benefit of the doubt for them, ev...

It destroys escapism (the main reason I'm playing games), because it brings modern day politics into a fantasy setting, where they doesn't belong ('member that Starfield rant and how "it made sense" - to some people - there? See HeelvsBabyface if you don't. There's no such excuse here).

You're forced to see this, no matter if you want to engage with it or not. I don't have to go to brothel in DA1, it's my pers...

And the weird thing is, this do-same-thing-over-and-over-an d-expect-different mentality is coming from the company, that was partially responsible for Vaas and his famous quote: «Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again, expecting shit to change. That is crazy.»

Was it foreshadowing?

Both extremes are bad, i agree with you (but, i think, "mouth breathers" was unnecessary).

Although, i would argue that, in my personal experience, in game reviews, you far often see left-leaning ideologies than right-leaning ones (but i might be biased here; talking about big publications like IGN and such). And if the game doesn't follow their ideas (either from the left or the right), that'll lead to lower game score (and the other way ...

On one hand, i kinda don't want game developers or publishers to have that kind of power over what you're allowed to say and what you're not. Otherwise, it might lead to stuff like «By using the game key, you: don't say anything bad, don't say a word about microtransactions» and such. Usually, their appetite comes with eating, so to speak and i do see companies like Ubisoft, ActiBlizzard and others saying this.

But on the ot...

Unrelated, but someone need to start making 2 games called «Delayed» and «Postponed» and keep delaying them year after year, headlines would be kinda funny to read: «Delayed Postponed», «Postponed Delayed», «Delayed delayed again», «Postponed and Delayed are delayed and postponed» and so on.

People are angry because this "game" was promised to be released 10 years ago at least (almost 12 if you're counting original Kickstarter promises), in 2014, it's 2024 right now and it's nowhere in sight. And this "roadmap" update just says «we don’t have a Release View update today». They can't even update their own progress tracker («This created a significant challenge in maintaining the Progress Tracker»), pro...

I would disagree on «different ideology» in this case. Those DEI teams from different companies, no one can actually explain what they're actually doing. It's not the game development team (or any other type of development, like web or mobile), it's not project management, it's not sales, it's not even the building cleaning. As far as i see, it's a group of people, who're getting paid for not doing anything useful to the company or staff...

Depends on a game, if it's my favorite, like Deadly Premonition or Binary Domain, i might buy another copy. But they don't cost that much (usually around $10-12, sometimes even less), they're not that rare. Even games imported from Japan i have don't cost that much.

Personally, i check my disc collection every 3 months or so, no problems yet. And if something starts happening, i can make a copy, thanks to the customer protection law. ...

@CRASHBASHUK
Dunno about the customer protection laws in your country, but where i'm living, i can make one legal copy of the disc, manufacturer can't prevent it (otherwise, they'll go to court and lose the case) or make an ISO of it (on the condition that i will not redistribute it). So any built-in DRM must work with the copy.

So that disc rot concern doesn't bother me personally. And, from a personal experience, PS3 and PS4 discs don't rot of...
