If they'll go the way of Microsoft, they should expect their console sales to plummet. What's the point in owning a console if every game they have, i can play on PC or other manufacturer consoles? And probably for cheaper too.
Next, if every game is coming to competitors' consoles, they the game have to «fit» into the lowest common denominator. Imagine, some years from now on, Microsoft releases another Xbox Series S that has less memory and worse GPU...

I call BS. Move to California happened after PS4, near PS5 release date. And i was around when they released PS3, i own one.

Agree, as soon as Sony moved to Cali, it's been bad decision after bad decision so far. And keep pushing for live service is just dumb at this point, like they're being stubborn about the wrong thing.
I hope they'll get back to PS3 times - more games overall and more new franchises.

Can't say what @TheColbertinator opinion is, but, IMO, this is dumb, because it's a singleplayer game. Do and require what you want from multiplayer games, but singleplayer games should support offline mode, without login requirement or extra downloads.

Personally, i think some people are forgetting what kind of game GTA is and what kind of characters we're playing. They're, you know, criminals. And criminals break the law and say some awful, dumb, obscene -ist and -phobic shit, it's kind of their shtick. It's not a game (you know, the «G» in «GOTY»), it's an expansion, simple as that. At most, it should have it's own category (maybe, «EOTY»?). But even that's questionable, in my opinion (what if we have no notable expansions, should we nominate any DLC? Or maybe battle passes? Microtransactions?).
