I guess the question is, is this a buy-buy-buy?

Couple things:
*Microsoft pretty much promised this as part of their Activision aquisition. Remember they made a big deal about putting CoD on it.

*Also, we've heard this exact line for the last couple generations. They said the exact same thing for Wii U and Switch.

*And a big question is AAA ports of which generation? I'm assuming this one but keep in mind this generation is at least half over. So even if it gets ports of AAA games fro...

This is based off a 4Chan post vs any actual legal filing. A more accurate description would be 'troll on a troll site talks about suing a company'.

Game devs don't *owe* you trophies. If they want to put weird limits on their trophies, that's up to them.

I think it is a weird limit to say you can't earn ANY trophies on Easy but good lord gamers have become a deeply entitled bunch.

Turns out that people who pre-order games are interested in playing those games. Not really a surprise there...

Actually it launched on PS and PC at the same time ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wi... Xbox was later but regardless the article blurb doesn't talk about Xbox, only Steam.

Title says 8 years since launch, blurb says 6 years since launch. Videogamer's AI journos making weird mistakes as usual.

To each their own. They both have space to exist.

The main stories in the Judgment games are way better imo. Bigger and less focused on, you know - just yakuza. I love yakuza storylines but they've all run together a bit in my head at this point. Judgment gave them an opportunity to do something a little new and the government embezzlement and serial killer storylines of the 1st and 2nd games were more interesting to me personally.

Combat is essentia...

Yeah a lot of their content gives off serious 'AI' vibes. Low quality filler content with hot takes to drive traffic at minimal cost to the company.

Exactly. Not even defending Concord cuz it looks pretty blah to me. But acting like this statistic means anything is nonsense. Marvel has literal generations of fans and billions of dollars in marketing/existing IP out there. If it didn't do 20x that of Concord, it would be an embarrassing failure for *Marvel*.

Wow, so a game based on one of the largest collection of IPs ever that has millions of existing fans attracts more interest than a mid-budget game based on an original concept? Crazy.

"Zenless Zone Zero fans want more male characters in the roster"

"One Zenless Zone Zero fan on Reddit"

Wait so is it fans (plural) or a single fan complaining? Won't click cuz these articles are the absolute worst. All Videogamer does is dredge Reddit and Twitter for a single fan complaining and then write an entire article about it, acting like the one fan represents a huge part of a fanbase.

Hot take - people c...

You don't have to be scammed personally to recognize and be annoyed at a scammer. I've never been scammed by a Nigerian Prince but the people who run that scam still suck.

Stoked to see trophies for it! This is easily one of the top 5 PSP games of all time, yet never got a European release. Stoked for more people to try it out and I'm excited for trophies and the uprezzed graphics. Looks great on the Portal!

"Oh, the old "I don't know how patches work" argument. If they patch something you like, it's okay! If they patch something you don't like, "Muh Rights!""

Do you actually not understand the difference between patches that add / fix stuff and patches that remove things? No one said patches are bad and I've got a feeling I understand software development a bit better than you do, having been in software development for 25 years. B...

"The people who own the art can do whatever they want with it. That's what I'm defending."

Ah yes, the old 'gamers don't actually own their games' argument. You'd fit right in at Ubisoft!

I mean, the last act is the literal climax of the entire game. So yeah, there's a bunch of fights (and they're not particularly hard either). The Gamer with another hard hitting piece of 'content'.

Baldur's Gate 3 was the same way - the devs even warned you about long-resting impacting some quests. I know it goes against standard game logic, but if your quest is to help an outpost that is actively being attacked, the enemy isn't gonna just wait around for you to show up.

The merchandising on this franchise has gotten out of control. I dug the early stuff (still got my Fallout4 CE Pip-boy computer on my shelf) but at this point it feels like they care more about merchandising than actually making you know... more Fallout games.

That is so insane. Reminds me of Uwe Bole, the guy made a living making terrible videogame movies like Bloodrayne cuz he used tax breaks to make money before the movie was ever released. They didn't have to make money, he got rich just by making the movies - their actual box office performance was irrelevant.

Feels just like Chris Roberts. The guy is getting filthy rich by just *making* a game, doesn't matter at all whether its good or actually ever releases. So wha...
