Why does Mortal Kombat need a reboot? The last game was great. Both fans and critics agreed so why make a cheesy movie and eff up the momentum you've built by making the franchise a joke again.
Epic! Already finished the campaign early this morning. A little over 9 hours, full coop on Heroic. The multiplayer is kicking my a**! Gotta get used to the pace and how quickly you die. Loving Domination though.
The problem isn't reviews but their consistency. You have 65 total reviews for Halo 4 and 3 of those reviews are well outside the consensus. People should legitimately question those reviews because they're well outside of the prevailing opinions of the game. The EGM reviewer is an example of a reviewer who clearly wanted the game to be something else and that's a legitimate concern and he should be taken to task for it. This is one situation where numbers lie. There are 60 positive reviews for Halo 4 and 3 negative reviews, one being absolutely ridiculous which brings the game's average down. Almost every reviewer has said this is the most polish, most full featured Halo game to date. You're clearly being a troll but I'll let you be. Dick!
Biggest problem with RE6 was a lack of focus. Too many campaigns lent itself to a disjointed story and unfocused and uneventful gameplay. The environments, settings and enemies are really remarkable but various campaigns are a puzzle that never really come together. Narrow the focus and narrative and bring the gameplay into this generation and you have a great game. Leon's campaign was a standout but the other 3 were neither interesting, nor fun.
This took a gigantic effort. Great job! Halo 2 has to come to the XBox 360 next year. Just port the PC version.
Another great review that no one comments on but a negative review has a million fanboys arguing. 59 positive reviews, 2 mediocre reviews and 1 negative review but the mediocre and negative reviews seem the be the greatest focus. SMH!
Agreed. As much as you may support a product when you hear the PR speak, you almost feel like a douche for supporting a product that has such a dick as it's public face.

If you look at the impact on competitive multiplayer and social gaming that Halo 2 made at the end of the last generation, the success of that game and the emergence and evolution of Xbox Live is what's responsible for the landscape of competitive multiplayer being the biggest focus of this generation. Call of Duty may have stolen Halo's thunder as the reigning king of online multiplayer but had it not been for Halo 2's success, I don't know if the landscape of this console...

Many of the criticisms I've seen of Halo 4 are from reviewers with the expectations that the game should be something else. Whatever their expectations, it isn't based on the history of the franchise's narrative or gameplay or linearity. Halo 4 isn't going to be something different than previous iterations. No game is. What it is, is the best of what the franchise has always done, in a polished packaged, iterated to almost perfection. Let the game be what it is!
Game Critics Awards decide game of the year, not Metacritic and they utilized the review from 40 publications recognize by Game Critics. The only one of those to have given Halo 4 a mediocre review was EGM. I've been saying for years Metacritic should only use reviews from publications recognized by Game Critics to offer more transparency.
It's rare that you read a review with such vitriol. The writer clearly is more in love with the perceived weight of his opinion than giving a subjective review. What we have here is a pretentious twat with a platform he shouldn't have!
Already completed the games 3 times with the Commando, Assassin and Gunzerker. Working on my level 48 Commando to complete the final side quest. Will play through with the Siren for the achievement when I'm done. About 11 days played all together. That's Call of Duty numbers!
It works with my HTC One X flawlessly but I don't see the point of it. The dual screen technology is limited right now and it's other functions replicate those of the controller and why have 2 controllers for the same functions.
The controversy came from outside of the gaming community as is always the case when the contented of video games is taken out of context.
Having played the game, finished it and replayed the game almost instantly having finished it, I can safely call this reviewer a moron. Plain and simple!
It's a great game. I just wished people would stop trying to rank it and just let it be a great game. It's a Halo game, so it doesn't have the same impact as other games in the franchise. CE was the first, Halo 2's multiplayer was revolutionary and Halo 3 had such launch hype and spectacle to solidify Microsoft as a competitor this gen. Halo 4 just wont have the impact of those titles.
