That's been good and bad. ID@Xbox is restrictive though. Microsoft's support for independent developers has become notoriously institutionalized. You don't have the freedom to approach other platform holders or you're restricted in if, how, and when you can release on other platforms.
I agree. Where Fifa remains better is in licensing and presentation. PES has definitely gotten better on the pitch but man, the presentation is lacking. This isn't 2007!
I really believe the over inflated review scores for MGSV is directly responsible for many being disappointed in the game. Reviews hail the game as groundbreaking, genre defining. It's crazy the superlatives used but the game simply isn't any of those things! It's a good game but it's no where near the game reviewers perceive it to be.
1 year and $140 to get the game we should have gotten a year ago. I was an avid Destiny player until after the release of Crota's End. I couldn't defend the game, it's systems or it's lack of content anymore. My games list at this time of the year is massive. MGSV, Madden, Fifa, Forza, Uncharted Collection, Halo, Tomb Raider, Fallout, Seige, Star Wars, NBA2K. When, just when am I suppose to jump back into Destiny?

Is it me or is there little excitement for Street Fighter V. There was a lot of excitement for Street Fighter IV. It was basically a reboot of the franchise. Honestly, I'm enjoying it but it's not a 10 game. Reviews are terribly misleading and inflated. The game doesn't raise the bar in any way or change how we play open world games. I think reviews set expectations high. I love it but then again I loved clearing mercenary camps in Far Cry 3 and 4. I think it's a lot of freedom. Yes the end game may be the same but how you approach it can be as different as your imagination.
Just remembering where the XBox 360 started to where it eventually evolved to, this fall update is exciting. Look forward to Microsoft continuing to evolve the XBox platform.

It's a remaster, not a remake. Gears of War while it can, was never intended to be played with the AI. It was and still is meant to be played cooperatively. Complaining about the AI is silly! For God's sake, your AI companions can't even revive you!

You can get the Thrustmaster TX with the 3PA pedal set for the same price as the other two wheels. While Fanatec may set the bar, the price is such a barrier to entry.
1. It has no campaign, no lore, isn't cannon, while using the Star Wars license.
2. Apart from a familiar multiplayer the only other content is a generic survival mode.
3. Even Destiny had more content, more scope, more ambition at launch.

No and no. And I've been very outspoken about remakes, definitive editions, ultimate editions, whatever. Gaming is an ever evolving genre but gamers are stuck in the past and in complacency. They like what they like. That's why we're on Halo 5, Forza 6, Uncharted 4, Call of Duty whatever. None offer vastly different experiences than their predecessors and all familiar. Man I have to give Sony credit for pulling off the "smoke and mirror" effect every year. It's funny to see fans excited for a game shown in 2009, that Sony's head admitted at the time was "specced up" and it's coming NEXT year! Am I missing something? He can be a jerk, yes, but his problems with Microsoft were well documented though and not unfounded. He didn't dislike the XBox or MS, he just didn't like the way they did business. Braid's success made him a bit arrogant and he came across as bitter and angry most times he spoke about his experiences with Microsoft.
