Why are comparisons always being made between games on each console? What does Uncharted 2 have to do with Alan Wake? I always find it strange that many PS3 owners have this insecurity about the games on their console. If someone says, "Forza 3 really impressed", a PS3 fanboy says, "Grand Tourismo looks better". Some one says, "Splinter Cell Conviction looked really great", a PS3 fanboy says, "It's no Metal Gear." Some says, "It was great to see Al...
This game looked great at EA's press conference but not much more was shown that we hadn't seen already.
Man, I would love for God of War III to be released this fall. That would make my year!
Dude, you're trying to use logic on fanboys?! Good luck.
I thought I was the only one who watched. It was already announced for XBox 360 and PC. This pettiness is really getting silly. E3 is suppose to be a showcase where the gamers win yet, all I see is flame baiting and fanboyism. And the pathetic excuse of blogs and tweeters we call the gaming media isn't helping.
Dude, there is nothing like Natal in gaming. That totally impressed. I think we're years away from it being anything more than something to amuse casual gamers but man, the possibilities are endless. The Lionhead tech demo, Milo, freaked me to hell out. I was asking the guys watching the conference with me, "Is that really possible?!" Left 4 Dead 2 was expected. The first game sold 2 million copies in a month and a half on the XBox 360, well above expectations. The second looks like...
Halo ODST impressed me. I can't stand Halo. I can't see what all the fuss is about. I have 40 gamer points for Halo 3 and I think the online is terribly mundane but Halo ODST seems like such a refreshing direction and much more than an expansion.
. . . let's be honest here, the past 2 years Microsoft has come into E3 with very low expectations and have managed to excite but this year was very impressive. With Halo ODST, Splinter Cell Conviction, Left 4 Dead 2 and Forza 3 this fall, Sony has to hope it has more to offer than Uncharted 2 and another Ratchet and Clank game. I'm waiting for Sony's press conference but with Heavy Rain, God of War III and possibly MAG slipping to 2010, I want to see some release dates. Seriously. Last year ...
Don't worry about the disagrees. I agree with you. Microsoft had a very impressive showing. Alan Wake really impressed. The game looked amazing, the animations were fluid, the story and premise is solid and the atmosphere kept you on the edge of your seat. I'm impressed. Look forward to seeing more as we get closer to a release.
I really think this might be a fallout from Ruffian games developing Crackdown 2. Remember when it was first announced Real Time Worlds denied it and claimed Microsoft wouldn't jeopardize the relationship by giving the title to a start up? Well they did and this may be the fallout since I know development on the XBox 360 version was well on its way.
MMOs wont work on consoles. Publishers have to be careful not to try to overestimate the needs of the growing online console community. Massively multiplayer, persistent environments really don't work within the framework of a console. Trying to ride the success of WoW and translate it to consoles is a bad idea.
Dude, bullshit and you know it. The game is made by Kojima Productions, as anal as Kojima is you know he'll play an active creative roll. It's a new direction for the Metal Gear franchise and he'll play a large part in that. Saying he quietly disowned it is bullshit. From that poorly tranlated interview with part omitted what I take from it is that he was a bit hesitant at a more action based direction. Fanboys need to get over it. Especially when it will use the MGS4 engine fanboys said woul...
Any fanboy who doesn't think this is a coup for Microsoft is kidding themselves. It's an all new Metal Gear game made by Kojima Productions starring arguably the breakout star of Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360. This is a coup. It's an all new story, all new approach that is possibly more action based and tailored to a more western audience. Meaning more player control and less cutscenes. This after fanboys claimed Kojima was, like them, a PS3 fanboy and would not make a game for the PS3....
Man, melee weapons may be the greatest addition to L4D. Left 4 Dead meets Dead Rising for L4D2.
Not gonna believe it. Ever!
I had low expectations for Microsoft even with all the rumors and they impressed. Splinter Cell Conviction, Halo ODST, Alan Wake, Forza Motorsport 3; all looked amazing. It was great to see gameplay footage of those titles. Looking forward to seeing more of Left 4 Dead 2 and Crackdown 2.
Funny how they got all that from a poorly tranlated excerpt that he wasn't pleased. My God, will this fanboy bullshit not end?!
Anyone who saw MGS4 and didn't think Raiden was a pure badass is liar! I can only imagine how many directions they can go with this character. Stop with the BSing. Just let us all enjoy what could be a fantastic game.
This hurts those Kojima elists who said he's never make a game for the Xbox 360. Fanboyism is only in your petty mind. It's an all new story and a departure from Solid Snake's legacy and story and I applaud it. It's being made by Kojima Productions so you know it will have the teams high quality and to those saying Kojima wont be involved, stop fooling yourselves. They guy's anal, of course he's going to be heavily involved. I'm happy Snake's story ended in grand fashion on the PlayStation an...
The more I see of this game, the more unimpressed I am. I hope Pandemic can redeem themselves after Mercenaries 2, which was terribly average. This game looks to be more of the same.
