They were referring to previous builds while it was in alpha.
You have to keep in mind the the OS is in beta, and still has room for optimization and bug fixing. Especially the when it comes to GPU drivers.

You might think this is lame, but millions of people around the world follow his very advice. And he is also very influential in GOP politics and media. I would advise you do some research.

Indeed they will no doubt, but it is important to educate those very people about the DRM, and their rights. This will create an effect called the informed consumer, and in time, the practices that these scum companies will attempt can be stop. But only if the people scream loud enough.
Just boycott any company that pulls that off. It's that simple.

What a great article. Greenwald is so right on this, it isn't even funny. Always online DRM, and not listening to the gamers that will be problems. Is one of the greatest push back to gamers that has been devised. Coupled with the crippling "features" of the game, and including poor server design and load balancing is the biggest cock slap to the face that I have ever seen. To make it worse, EA and Amazon are refusing refunds.
The direct sequel to Trigger is a SNES game called Radical Dreamers as it follows Luca and Kid. Which will eventually lead up the events of Cross.
