I know where are you going with this, but I'm telling thoes whom still claiming that the PS3 games shown at E3 06 were running on PC. The article claim that the PC is using the 7900GTX SLI and the X1900 Crossfire, if that is the case than the RSX gpu would most likely be upgrade it to the 7900GTX SLI. The others part of this theory is that the RSX is weaker than the 7900GTX SLI. If they have to use the 7900GTX SLI to run an uncomplete PS3 titles than that would mean the RSX is some what of an...
Given that the RSX can write to Main memory (read: XDR) at 15GB/s it's not a big deal that the SPEs can't read from the graphics memory at a fast rate. If some shader needs to draw something that requires Cell post processing it can write it back to system ram, then the cell can work on it if absolutely necessary.
But in general, because the Cell will be doing a lot of vertex processing most of the data to the RSX will be coming from the Cell, so Cell doesn't need to ask the RSX ...

Thoes are not at E3 floor the Working PS3 is in the Private Room
