i believe they are not releasing it in japan on the 360 because the fanbase on the 360 just isnt there. the sales for the other square games just werent all that great.
i remember a while back on ign where it was told that FFXIII was originally planned for ps2 but was canned due to the spacial limitations of dvds. now if a dvd on ps2 could not substancially hold enough data for FFXIII then who knows how many discs may be required for the 360.
