They should quit playing the inscene game video on ads and show actual gameplay. Guarantee there will be cancellations and returns. Since half of the XBots go into a frothy euphoria when master chief is mentioned, they will buy anything with Halo on it. Next will be Halo used toilet paper!
Microsoft's attempt is Halo ODST - pre-rendedered footage in a TV ad. This RTS will only appeal to a small niche of gamers as it is not a FPS as Halo 3 was. This is not the game they need this year! Pass on it
Whereas Killzone 2 delivers upon the vision of their initial E3 target render and is the title that FPS gamers were looking for. Get it.
Not all games are worth pre-ordering.
There are a select few that are worth having on release day and having a pre-order bonus is a plus.
At times having $5 or $10 off is sufficient, other times downloadable content is a plus. I would rather opt for a premium edition if content are good e.g. Street Fighter IV for PS3 than a pre-order bonus, unless it is Killzone 2 from Amazon!
You obviously do not understand business and the laws of economics. Not every developer has the budget and luxury to create new IPs every round. It is these sequels and strong sales that help fund new IPs. So there should be a Bioshock 2 to help 2K keep funding new IPs. New IPs cost a lost of money and the potential of success is very low.

The future for storage on XBOX 360 is limited, bigger, expansive games are just to costly so developers need to scale back their imagination to get their ideas to fit on 2 discs or go over to 50GB Bluray solution .... hmm.

Insomniac has not put a bad game out yet with Resistance Fall of Man and Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction - both AAA titles. I trust they will do right.
Get the beta out soon, so we can all help polish the online play and provide feedback on the game.
Primary reason is, SONY just updated its store with Video content and the larger 80GB hard disk will be sufficient to hold more content than 40GB.
The secondary reason is backward compatibility, SONY wants to provide a pathway for the 120million PS2 installed base to upgrade and still be able to play their older PS2 games. Personally I think they should have stuck with hardware compatibility rather than software emulation on all PS3s.

Great IP and very refreshing to see a presentation that was not using PowerPoint. Goes to show the imagination of SONY and Media Molecule.
Whilst this E3 was more about software and last year was about hardware, the biggest announcement must have been FF XIII coming to XBOX 360 for Microsoft and MAG for SONY - a new 256 online multiplayer game.
I must say the best keynote was from SONY. Jack Tretton is a great presenter, got everyone relaxed and showed off some great games coming this year - Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, Motorstorm 2 and next year Killzone 2, GOW III hopefully.

=they may move their chips from one manufacturing process to another e.g. 65nm to 45nm, less heat.
=Finally they will package in a Dualshock 3 controller
