Yes but removing the back touch pad, one camera and the six-axis would shed off some price.
The back screen is just a gimmick, one or two games may use smart use of it, but others will treat it like a tech-demo.
I couldn't imagine playing a FPS Simulator or a Simulator of any kind with a controller, with most PC games you need those extra keys on the keyboard.
As for the mouse; you do are a hell of a lot more precise. If the mouse is the perfect navigation for moving a cursor, why can't it be the same for a cursor that's in a game?
Lol I bet they announce it and then not show anything
I've always been intrigued by the Vita, I'm not waiting for more games to come out for it, I'm waiting for the price drop.
I wish they didn't add the rear touch pad and all the other stuff and just kept it simple; Front touch screen and camera, they then could of sold it much less without really losing anything significant.
How do you expect it to get off it's feet when there are 2 more technically powerful consoles on the horizon which everyone is waiting out for?
PS3 could afford a price cut and was one of the last to launch, which meant it had time to recover without other consoles looming over it.
The Wii U is in neither of those positions the PS3 was in. It can't afford a price cut or that would mean they need to sell 3 or 4 games with each console to make a profi...
Still play it to this day. It came out before 3D Worms and still is better than any 3D worm games.
There was a sequal that was planned for a 2009 release, but it just disappeared into obscurity; http://n4g.com/news/135510/...
GTA 4 is my favourite GTA to date, I just can't even go back to the older games now. The physics in GTA4 allow an unlimited amount of unpredictability, and the only reason why content was lacking; like planes, was because of the Xbox360 and it's DVD's
Now developers have found out how to utilize multiple disks we will see GTA 4's physics with much much more content, I have a feeling this is going to be one hell of a game
World at War was the last great COD, then after that you can see a huge directional shift as they move away from authenticity and believable scenarios to over the top Hollywood story lines and fantasy realities.
Nintendo are in serious trouble.
To the people who say "they need a price cut" Nintendo simple can't do it. They're already making a loss on every console sold, making profit once one game has been bought. So let's say a pricecut was made, that means 2 or 3 games need to be bought with every console to make a profit, but how do you do that when there's hardly any games out for it at the moment?
Secondly to the people who are saying &...
A little bit of history on the Apple Pippin: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
If Apples multi-purpose gaming machine failed in 1996, does Microsoft think it will work in 2013?
You mean like a headtracker?
That would be cool, say if you're in like a racing game you could move the controller to look into the corners. Or if you're playing a first person shooter and you're crouched behined a wall, you could lift the controller up to peek over; or peek round corners.
This controller looks nearly perfect for me. I hated the D-pad on the PS3 it's not comfy at all, especially when trying to play a PS1 game that doesn't support analogue sticks.
The new mic means everyone can have a mic, so now theres no excuse for not talkng.
The touchpad has so many opportunities of use. Imagine if you could play Vita games on your PS4, using the front touchpad as the touchscreen? Or moving objects and making tracks on LBP and Modnations?
And ...
Lol, most dev kits look like that so don't worry.
I think prestige system is horribly outdated.
Halo 4 for instance allows me to carry on levelling up after unlocking everything while keeping everything I have already earned. Yet I'm still being rewarded with little extra's like new gun camo etc.
There needs to be an incentive for me to carry on playing without unlocking everything all over again, otherwise me and other people just see it as a redundant purpose.
I think a great place for the start and select buttons would be at the top of the controller.
The start button would be where the 'Dualshock 3' is written, with the select button being where the 4 red lights are.
Just try it, all you have to do is reach over with your index finger, and there would be no way of accidentally pressing it either; unless you hold the DS3 in an absurd manner.
My thumbs slip off convex sticks and I always find I'm less accurate when making slight movements, I always play with the rubber concaved stick covers.
To be fair it's all down to personal preference, I hope they give you an option this time.
This is the problem, too many games are getting 9+ scores and it's distorting the system. When a game gets a 6, 7 or 8; both of which are good scores, people will complain in droves saying how it should of deserved 9 or 10.
9 or 10 is now the expected for titles, anything lower and people will see it as a disappointment. However these scores mean a game is near perfection or is perfection and when you give them sort of scores to too many games that figure starts to lose i...
It is buggy, I've had my gun disappear many times so I can only see my hands and I have 999 ronds but I can't shoot. You have to quit out the whole game for it go back to normal, rather annoying.
Great video! I never realised how big the difference was; the Xbox version at parts look like an early 360 title
Ah Rockband, spamming my Xbox Live Marketplace and PSN store for the past few years...
