So what you're saying is that Nintendo have made the Wii U to compete with the Wii.
Are people still finding it hard to grasp what a next generation product is?
That's like me saying I think the Iphone 5 isn't a big leap over the Iphone 4, so therefore I declare that the Iphone 5 isn't a next generation Iphone.
You can't say something is next gen or isn't next gen based on the products power, that's called being a...
"But Wii U isn't next gen..."
If the Wii U isn't next gen that means Nintendo have made the Wii U to compete with the Wii along with the PS3 and Xbox360.
Why would a company make their product compete with their previous product?
So the Wii U not being next gen is completely illogical on so many levels.
It's not about being cheap, have you forgotten we are in a serious recession?
Also I think peoples interests are on the next gen consoles, I know I would rather save up for a PS4 than a Vita at this point in time.
Actually the XMB was first seen in the PSX back in 2003.
But here's the problem.
Nintendo are already selling at a loss, making up a profit once one game has been sold.
Now if they make a price drop they will need to sell 3 or 4 games+ to make up a profit on the loss. But the problem is there isn't enough games available yet to warrant the price drop.
So they're in a catch 22. They can't make a price drop because there isn't enough games to create a profit, yet they can't ge...
A great example of showcasing 30fps to 60fps is to play Forza Horizon (30fps) and Forza 4 (60fps)
Play Horizon for a few hours, then hop onto Forza 4, the difference is HUGE.
Forza 4 just feels so much smoother and the driving itself is a lot more precise with you feeling like you have more accurate control. Sure Horizon feels great to play on it's own, but in comparison it feels sluggish and slightly more choppy.
I have a feeling this game is going to be a lot more action oriented, which I'm worried about as a massive Tomb Raider fan.
Why don't you guys just download Adblock? I haven't seen adverts for like 3 years.
Am I supposed to be WOWED by 1 minute or so of CGI footage from Capcom?
Or are you one of these fools who fell for it as actual gameplay?
I can't believe people are debating whether or not it was actual gameplay...
Let's take the obvious CGI graphics out of the equation, what kind of perspective is the gameplay?
I've never seen a third person game before where the camera detaches to all kinds of random cinematic angles, it's almost like it's set up for video purposes, hmm...
I didn't think people were actually going to fall for that... Seriously?
Halo 3 added theatre mode, which still isn't beat yet by any other FPS. Also the forge mode, while not as complex as Far Cry, gave the ability of people with all types of experience to be able to build some truly awesome maps. Also a very stable 4 player co-op on console was quite something back in 2007.
Halo's popularity is steadily decreasing, we just need an FPS which is truly innovative as the FPS market at the moment is very stale.
I made the right move back in 2005 by purchasing the Xbox 360, the PS3 back in the early days was a laughing stock; even fanboys can't deny it.
But around about 2010 - 2011 Microsoft just seemed to start losing it. The exclusives start drying up, the Kinect was advertised all over the dashboard and the newest dashboard we got was horrible being bombarded by advertisements.
I bought a PS3 back in early 2011 and It was a great choice, games came first. Su...
Have you noticed a trend with those Xbox core games you listed?
Nearly every single game (Maybe even all of them) are more than 2 years old, possibly more.
Don't know why anyone in their right mind would disagree with you.
So very true.
Games that really wow me are the gameplay ones, while trailers and CGI footage are all good, they don't really highlight the power of the PS4.
So what's going to happen to the start and select buttons?
A few people have made replicas of that controller and nearly all of them say it's surprisingly comfortable, some even preferring it over the dualshock.
Are you saying a company that is on the verge of collapse can't possibly set their goals on world domination?
Sega did exactly that, they threw everything they could with the Dreamcast as one big last effort, but it simply wasn't enough.
