I agree with SuperSaiyan here actually quite a bit. I think one of the strengths of the 360/PS3 era for Xbox was the massive improvements that the 360/Microsoft brought to gaming. Sony's and Nintendo's online gaming experience as very much so sub-par initially. The whole open world concept seems to really detract a great deal from good character development and from the potential of the story. I'd take a linear game with fun gameplay and great story over open-world every time.
Some games frankly are much better presented as linear games, especially the ones with a focus on story in my opinion. FF10 was linear AF and it is one of favorites.
Uncharted 2 and 4 were the only ones worth playing. And the last two tom. Raiders were far better than both of those in my opinion. Uncharted is so overrated😉

Generally speaking, I prefer most of Microsofoft's exclusives well-above and byeond anything Sony has has put out (except for the "The Last of Us...) - I've been almost equally disapointed with the PS4 as I was the PS3.
Uncharted 4 for instance, I will never understand how this game is considered "amazing." The graphcis, sure, the story.....meh.....the gameplay......god awfully boring.
