Awesome! I wonder what they'll do next, would love to see a 3DS game from them. S&P could work really well, but it might clash with Kid Icarus and Star Fox.
The 3DS is coming...
I think it's December for us... not entirely sure.
Isn't it just a return to normality after a holiday boost?
Good to see Battleroad Victory still trucking, I want that localised!
Yer, plus the textures, for the most part anyway, don't look too impressive and barely above Crystal Bearers.(which I posted on the other submission).
The stand out texture is the rock face, the rest looks meh.
Looks like Crystal Bearers to me!(well a tiny bit better)
I disagree with him about tech but the other stuff is 100% correct, especially when he's talking about Japanese developers compromising their vision. That's why Kawazu is awesome, even if you don't enjoy all his games, he makes the game he wants to and tries to change things up.
They'll still probably have a closed megatheater where all the good stuff'll be.:'(
Mistwalker don't have any coders though and worked with other developers on their past games. I want to know who the other developer is!
Nice but I want to know who the developer is!
Nice!
People always say Nintendo doesn't work with third parties but that's pretty much been proven to be bullcrap because loads of third parties have been talking about how good Nintendo works with them.
Tetsuya Takahashi(who is first party) even said that when he was deciding what he'd have to cut from Xenoblade that Nintendo told him not to.... and they told Treasure to make Sin and Punishment 2 harder!
Nice, can't wait to see how far it goes!
Probably not interested if it isn't directed by Ito...
That's all I've got to contribute.
Ducktales first though!
Haha, there was a rumour about this ages ago that implied Nintendo was publishing, which I guess is easy to mix up as Koch is Nintendo's primary European distributor.
Wonder if they will be typical licensed stuff or something more.
No, DQIX has actually dropped!
Still no Geist DS though despite the fact that COD(and possibly the other games) are based on a Geist DS engine.
I also don't know if they're working on the Wii, it's too bad they couldn't find a publisher for Winter.
Aren't they also making Bloodstone DS?
I'm calling BS because he's claiming it plays exactly the same as the old one when one of the main complaints from other people is that it plays totally different.
Nintendo understands that other developers aren't like them though and appreciates that they are different, this is why Nintendo chooses to approach developers like Treasure and Team Ninja; to do things Nintendo wouldn't and I think that's an important part.
The synergy between hardware and software is at the core though and it's most obvious now with the Wii and DS but it was always Nintendo's philosophy.
