I have not seen the PS4 version as I didn't download it, but I too saw the One version and I thought it looked quite good.

At this point no Dark Souls game comes close to filling the void left by Demons Souls.
BB was different and took us to a new love. Dark Souls was close, but it just doesn't fill a void, or offer anything new enough to engulf the player into a new love.

BB is a better IP. The lack of shield and the forcing of the player to engage in all out physical combat, makes the game better.
If anything, Dark Souls is BB lite. Dark Souls is so much easier than both Demons Souls and Bloodborne, that it shouldn't even be debated.
BB is hard, Demons Souls was hard, and Dark Souls takes some practice.
