Well, its a scary thought because the market doesn't always dictate what direction something goes. Sometimes choices or features are removed when they're popular for whatever reason. (profit margins)
Most gamers love consoles, so whatever they decide is fine for their business model, but the industry as a whole going this route would suck. It's just something to keep an eye on.
Why wouldn't we discuss this, btw? This is a gaming news hub w...
PS Now is badass. I used it for the first time last week to play Capcom Classics. It worked perfectly fine with no lag that I noticed. Just like I was playing off a disc.
Nothing wrong with the rental option on PS Now. It's an option though.
I'm sure most would agree though, that it is far better for SONY to take a more traditional approach in the PS4 architecture vs the Cell. We are seeing easier development in the beginning of it's life, and that's what gamers want. Better games.
Now if they wanted BC, can you imagine how much that would have increased the price of PS4? They would have had to added in Cell processing solely for the PS3 games and the machine would be 700 bucks.
Yeah. It's not Demons Souls or Skyrim!
That trophy is pretty bad.
I love miracle builds so much.
Probably going cleric again with extra attention to intelligence and Strength.
There will be a static PS5 in late '18-19 which will do 1080p/60fps minimum, and have some sweet as VR options.
There is no reason for the most successful console to alter anything at this point.
That's how I see it too. Same verbage and all. They're fragmenting their own user base.
I see absolutely no need for a console any longer if they go this route. No need for an Xbox anyway. Why would you go the Xbox route when you build a badass rig for better results on an equal footing? It makes absolutely no sense for the customer and a lot of sense for MS since it is clearly an exit from the stage with dignity wrapped in a backhand and tied with a knife in you...
Yeah you have a winner for those who upgrade. What happens to the early adopters? They're losers or forgotten?
Consoles are wildly successful because of their distinct static nature of an all plug n play platform. The ability to do what you're suggesting and what MS is now suggesting has been around a long time. There's a reason that it hasn't been implemented onto consoles though. The fragmentation to their own market hurts.
Seriously? ...
Yes.
There has been a massive shift toward digital this gen. Just three years ago people were screaming from rooftops about how physical is better. Now look at these comments. Everyone has become lazy and complacent and the industry marches forward while we get less. Lending games is a thing of the past.
It's natural, but sad.
God bless the liberals.
In a game where you kill enemies with automatic weapons and explosives, the use of tobacco offends.
Stop. Smoke em if ya got em and tell your kids not to. The end.
What's with all the cinematic garbage during combat? Hope we can turn that off.
Otherwise it certainly looks fun.
Just grab a two handed giant weapon and roll swing, baby!
It's too much to me at this point. There are going to be 20 less surprises if one continues to watch them. I want to watch them, but it's definitely better to experience these scenes first hand for the first time.
These "expert observations" are for all intents a spoiler of the first few areas.
Haha. Totally.
I remember the first time I encountered the dragon at the bridge and tried to run across after dying the first time. Haha I kept laughing while thinking "this game doesn't f#*% around! Me likey!". Then I realized when you progress 85% of the way, and die, you go back to the start with half health!
This is my most anticipated game too. More than UC4 and Nier Automata.
I disagree.
While Dark Souls 1 was good, it was a clear step backward from Demons Souls and it isn't as good as Bloodborne.
Bloodborne is much faster, harder, better enemy design, music and lore.
DS2 is clearly the inferior game of the 4 thus far. Hopefully the new DS3 takes us back to a more Demons Souls like experience.
Alright I just threw up a bit.
I would love a Bloodborne II.
I feel that there is still a lot of weaponry and clothing that can be created and explored in this universe.
It's a vastly superior game. Take Dark Souls, remove the clunkiness, add some new mechanics and style, and u have GOTY.
Yes, I do too. I even got tee shirts like a nerd and I wear them proud.
One is black and just says YOU DIED in red. Very stylish.
I've never had that scenario either. Just Ninty and PS. I've never owned a Sega machine, but I loved playing Genesis with my friends. Sega did make great hardware.
