This is what I don't understand about the sales argument (VG chartz in particular).
How can the PS3 outsell the 360 ww every year for the last 4 years and yet still be 6 million behind? It doesn't make sense.
You're missing the point. Why are you choosing to play on a system with inferior games and less exclusives? Why choose to miss out? Because you're a follower? A bandwagoner? Jeez man, use your brain and play the most games you can. The PS3 may be in 3rd by the slimmest of margins but it also has the best games this gen for the best value. This is why it is basically at the same 44 mil with 360 in less time. It's a better machine.
At this point, the only way that a gamer does not switch is because they're purely stubborn and just lame. The fanboyism is old already, and it needs to die. Look what this gen did to gaming. We have motion controls and shovelware because 3 camps were battling. The gamer doesn't always win. Sometimes it's better to get back to basics and just create what the gamers want. Great games......not gimmicks.

Why is it that so many ppl come here and say things like "Ps3 is doomed, or in trouble or going downhill"?
These same ppl have been saying these things for over four years now and SONY has does nothing except sell their console with the best exclusives this generation. It is selling more global units than the 360 and will continue to be the better system for the rest of the generation. Get used to it and get over it. Play Kinect or get a dam PS3 already.

PS3 has the biggest lineup of exclusives approaching this generation. It will have the best games next year. It isn't even a debate. 360 will have a Gears game and some silly Kinect games. If SONY is in trouble then 360 is finished. Seriously, look at it for what it is.

no. The disagrees are because you are wrong. SONY is not desperate for anything. Neither are the owners. We play the best games, have the best games on deck, and we have Blu-Ray and free online. When you're finished playing the sales game (which is silly because 360 is in worldwide last place), and going to the COD well, you will see that you've been in denial.

As a PS3 owner and former 360 owner I am done with COD series forever.
Playing FPS online is really cool, but there are drawbacks to doing it too much. You miss out on other great games when you're zombied into COD.
I'm back to 1player adventures. They're better anyway. Fuck activision and fuck corporate greed.

The truth is that while 360 still has Gears of War and Forza, the entire platform has moved toward Kinect.
Microsoft has spent millions upon millions on Kinect, and half a billion alone on marketing. Their eggs are firmly in the Kinect basket. Expect nothing more than some more dancing and interactive shovelware, guys. 360 owners are firly entrenched in waiting for Gears,COD and after that it's nadda.

I thought it was common knowledge by now that the PS3 does not use its GPU like standard gaming machines. It's different because it uses a different approach. The CPU does calculations for it at times. We've known this for 4 years now.

It's a game, and not only that, but it's a great game. Your opinion flat out sucks and we do not care. Heavy Rain is the first of its kind and it was one of the most enjoyable interactive stories I have ever played. Perhaps if I was only 18 and loved FPS, I wouldn't like it either; but alas.......I am an adult with an aquired taste for great gaming and nothing stale.
