I was an early adopter, and if I remember correctly, that magazine was published and mailed out like every 3 or 4 months. When the new issue finally arrived with all the new Adventures of Link and and Metroid tips, it was like a celebration. I remember waiting for every issue like Christmas.

I'm fairly confident we are going to see a large increase in the amount of 60 fps gameplay.
Its not a deal breaker by any means, but the better framerate is nice. I'm definitely thinking we will see a healthy amount of higher fps games this Gen.

TBH it doesn't even impress me. If I wanted to see Dispicable Me I would watch it.

I get that you need tech capabilities to achieve the CGI like effects. I get it.
At the end of the day though, I don't want to watch trolls and old dudes. I want to play a dam videogame.

I think it's safe to say we don't have to worry about writing down our save game passcodes anymore.
Those were the days. Passcodes for certain progression points.
I'm pretty sure every gamer wrote it down wrong at least one time out of hundreds if they were in a hurry or what have you, and had to resort to an older code. That sucked.
This is along the lines of an old crippled zebra telling the lioness, "my bad hip and subsequent inability to run won't help you eat me."
Pretty informative and makes sense to a layman.
They're basically stressing immediate yields versus mastering new techniques to have higher yields years later.
Finally PS fans will not have to wait 4 years into the lifecycle to see the best the platform has to offer, and hopefully the better games will take less dev time and we will get the games quicker after reading about previews and rumors.
It really is a 180 in their approach.

Ps4 devs scrutinized the architecture for more than a year to ensure they had the best balance with little to no bottlenecks. More than a year! How many ppl scrutinize anything for that long in their lifetime?

A console is about the total package for the best value, and right now ps4 is blowing everything else away.
We all know modern PC rigs are superior in every visual facet. You have to pony up though. PS4 gives gamers substantial gaming with amazing studios for a terrific price. What's the problem?

It always seems that whatever is second fiddle within videogames is green.
If it can do those 5, then it can obviously do yellow and purple as well. No orange without yellow, and with blue and green you got purple.
