Also you forgot Forza horizon is NOTHING like Forza motorsport. It's 2 completely different games under the same franchise name. If they called it Open world racer xx you would think it's a different game. Obviously you haven't played the games so you have no idea.
Laslty, Halo MCC was a remake, 343 is doesn't release a halo...
Apparently it's 3 times the size of Skyrim.
And remember how shit fallout 3 looked compared to other games out at that time. Fallout 4 looks great compared to other games out.

This is what started it all, now the success has lead to it becoming a trend.
I feel the exact opposite, halo is my most beloved franchise in all forms of media and so far no other console has given me any reason to leave Xbox and Halo. I bought PS3 late when it was muchh cheaper and caught up on all the games I wanted to play on it, and I'm probably gonna do the same with PS4.
Only letdown with Reach was that they literally teased us with a Scarab last half of the game and we never got to fight it. And this is after fighting like 5 of them in Halo 3, still boggles my mind why we haven't fought a scarab since halo 3 and ODST.
Also the fact that they mixed all multiplayer and firefight maps in campaign. That was probably the worst idea. I ended up seeing almost all the campaign locations in multiplayer, and a good chunk of the campaign felt like...

Lol Halo MCC is not a disaster. It's been fixed for many months now, I was able to play it fine just two months after. It's the best remastered collection any fan could hope for. I'm not even gonna delve into the sheer value that collection has because it'll just stir up a fanboy war, and that's the last thing i intend.
But if you really think removing a huge feature of a game is justified to keep it from being a "disaster" then you have no idea ...
Far cry??? Are you in your right mind? That game is build ground up for first person, it would play like shit in third person or be a completely different game.
You can't force an FPS to be TPS or vice versa unless it's an option or the game is built to support it.
You clearly don't play enough first person game to understand the difference.
