The first one didn't have much of a story but the second one really did, and the third one did a good job as well.

^^ many have said that, and I'm sure they've considered it. But they revealed that the engine was built from the ground up to support 60 fps at all times, that meant it couldn't really support split-screen. Their plan was to try to squeeze it in later on.
But that didn't work so they removed it unfortunately. That's what I know anyway.
I think the real reason it probably won't get GOTY is because no matter how good it turns out there are just too many halo haters out there. It's such a huge franchise that there's a lot of people who hate it but haven't even played it. It's sad and stupid, but true.
They've explained it many times, there were just too many limitations graphically and technically if they incorporated it. Removing it allowed them to accomplish alot more than they could have.
Exactly what those changes are, we'll find out when we play the game.

If we have to argue about it then it's not really a remake. These improvements are great, but if they qualify as a remake then what's a remaster? I hate to say this on an Uncharted article because it's such a beloved franchise, but this is a bit of an exaggeration.
The games are brilliant there's no arguing that. But they're giving too much credit for a $60 collection that doesn't even have multiplayer.

They do for many people. When my whole gaming life depends on Halo, I will go wherever halo goes. Halo and Gears of war are two of my most beloved and most played franchises and I will always buy xbox if they're only available on xbox.
Similarly, many people have an attachment to PS exclusives like Uncharted, God of war, etc. And they will buy Playstation as long as those games stay exclusive.

Yea I think people aren't paying attention to the subscription model, which is exactly what they want. It's like a cellphone contract, and contracts are always rip offs.
