the thing with some other franchises besides COD, is that they have engaging storylines, improvements in multiplayer, and build on a story.
im ok with this kind of milking.
till gta5
in this comparison its like saying do you like dog turd or cat turd better? they are both bad, 360 slightly better
It's not that COD is a bad game, its that Acitivision and their developers fail to innovate and try new ides. Basically saying, "if it ain't broken don't fix it." I'm ok with this idea, but 4-5 years of the same thing... Something has to give, before we start seeing many developers say "screw it, we'll make a COD clone." or just update few bits in their engine and release the same game.
Activision sets a bad precedent, especially as the...
i hope this means the COD players on BF3 leave... i hate anyone over 20 not performing their job.. such as support not giving ammo... >.>
yea its been hard to juggle both.. mp in u3 is very well done. i like how coop survival has changed to different missions instead of just killing enemies throughout... still playing coop to get upgrades for competitive. :)
not as bad and obvious as COD.
BF3 has recycled buildings, also in BC2 such as conquest on Arica Harbor (personal favorite). The buildings however have some minor difference, such as a door pointing a different way etc. whereas in COD its the same building, just colored blue.
dammit.. i gave my COD4 copy away, MW3 is asking me to install COD4 :/... those damn expansion packs!!!!!!
/troll
but seriously, yes buildings are recycled in many games, but COD recycles their buildings throughout every sequence and every title.... add some new detail at least. an extra door? destroyed walls? make the underlying design somewhat different. Otherwise at some point or another, people (those that dont go on gaming sites) will start to notice, a...
2 years to develop a wealth of dollars, and you give ps3's users this shoddy port? and this with the 360 not being great either.
i experienced this in metro first time.. the guy was on the defending side (first crates) and in the spawn area (which you'll die in 10 seconds).... I finally said screw it.. went in there knifed the man, and died a second later.
first of all no, they arent losing money, they'll actually make more money out of this illusion.
why? who were on the fence of buying any DLC with this "lucrative" offer, will buy ELITE.. now Activision gains buyers..
now im not a game developer, but im a programmer, and a gun skin should not take more than a grand to make, in fact you could do it with 1-2 programmers...
so in the end, activision is banking that people on the fe...
yea if you like tick tacked, glued together campaigns..
i enjoy this... in michael bays transformers, because i want to see robots beating the crap out of each other... but when i play a game, i want a decent story, especially for $60.
man i wonder what they thought of Snake eater.. i was killing snakes and rats the whole time... lol
finally a review that doesnt say ZOMG COD!!!
lack of innovation is a huge hit, especially when you played the exact game already 4 times. What happen to redefining the genre like COD4 did (which i regard as one of the best FPS ever)... but after that its finally gotten stale.
#1, for noobs
#2, camp fest
#3 FRAGS
#4 shoddy tick tacked story
#5 glitch fest
#6 better games: AC3, BF3, U3, Skyrim, Zelda, and Batman.
#7 I played this game before (MW2, MW, BO, W@W)
im down with people disliking ucharted 3, but no way is it a 4/10, lowest score i could see is a 8/10.
i dont like HALO nor COD but i would give them 8's. Great games, just not what I'm looking for. However, there comes a point when a reviewer is just out there to get hits, by bashing invalid points.
the review bashed on what uncharted is, a linear story. The only bad part of uncharted is the weak gunplay... all guns feel the same. AI is sophisticate...
i enjoyed the campaign, everything followed through and it wasnt a COD tick tacked adventure. However, it was faulty in that there really wasnt much character progression, besides the one (SPOILER********************** ************************)
where you decide to help dima, and kill an american soldier. After that, and before there wasnt much. BF still did tick tack some parts together such as the air strike, and tank men. Sure they tie up, but for the most part people dont wan...
man gta sandreas just had so much going for it. rpg elements, having to work out, and best of all it never felt like a chore. In fact it was fun going to chick a fil and getting your guy fat. lol
thats why i liked SA, when you collected all of something in a certain area you got unlimited weapons at one of the safe houses. for example in los santos, tagging the whole community gave you the rocket smg, and a couple other weapons at CJ's original house.
yea i forget the map name, but your spot on... in caspian border, no lie, in dogfights, I tend to go to the sun, and use it to blind my enemy (of course im blinded too, but i've done it enough to know when to roll and get my kill). it is brutally bright.
