He isn't saying they are doomed, he has read the comment in the comment section on the linked article where a guy is mocking all the times that people have claimed Nintendo was doomed.

Nintendo has been surviving mostly on their 1st party games for decades, what makes it different now? I think it will turn around(it's already starting to) and don't believe that it will end up like the Gamecube did.

The Last of Us Remastersted is a cash grab, but the MCC is a huge bargain? Sure it's 4 games and all the map packs, but 3 of which are basically untouched graphically and Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and Halo 4 GOTY edtion all came with their DLC maps, if it wasn't for it including a remastered version of Halo 2, ...

@admiralvic After looking further into it, I guess you're right, tho they do seem to at least attempt to stand by it, having given 210(only counting NA) games away, I imagine it would be hard to find something that qualifies that they haven't already given away before.
@mixolydian I was going by the critic scores not the user scores. Sure I've enjoyed a few games that have gotten some bad reviews, but most of the games that I have played with bad scores deserve the bad critics rating.
@admiralvix at the time those games were given out they did have a 70 or higher score, apart from Doki-Doki which was given away along with the other 2 monthly games last month.
One difference, Sony will only give games that have a 70 or higher Metacritic score. Microsoft doesn't really have standards as to what they give out and sometimes give some not so great games(like Crimson Dragon this month, which has gotten some pretty bad reviews).
It's been great learning about the people that make these games and how their companies and games came to be, I've also seen a lot of great games that I haven't even heard of and I probably wouldn't of had they not been shown in these stories and interviews. I'm looking forward the next one and I like idea of you guys taking suggestion, I'd personally would like to see Ronimo Games, one of my favorite indie developers.
I'm interested, liking the art style and it sounds fun.
