I wonder how many PS3's the demo will sell?
A gaming console doesn't have to be number one in sales to thrive. I've had my fat PSP since launch (NA) and I've used it almost every day, well, until I got my PS3. The PSP is a damn fine piece of hardware and the multimedia aspects to it just make it a complete package.

As far as not buying the PS3 to stay out of the format war, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I bought one and I just have a SDTV and no plans to upgrade anytime soon. The PS3's Blu-ray is primarily for games. as long as they are making games for the PS3 it is not a dead format. I think if Microsoft would have done this with HDDVD in the 360 from the beginning, things would be a lot different today.

High definition dvd is a very small portion of the market. The only people who buy them are the early adopters. Those early adopters also do more research on what they are buying. The only advantage to HD-DVD (to my knowledge) was the lower price point, Blue-ray has more space on the disc. The people that are buying these units have HDTVs and are willing to spend the money to get the latest and greatest rather than bargain hunting.
God I wish I could do that.

It has been a long wait but it seems they intend to hit the ground running. This adds a whole new dimension to an already impressive portable device.
I was up all last night playing Uncharted. I enjoyed the hell out of the game and I never thought to myself that this game would be much better if the 360 sucks.

I haven't played all the way through it yet but I am just in awe of the overall quality of the game. The acting in the cutscenes is outstanding. The animation and the story are excellent. I know everyone will say that cutscenes do not make a game but Ninja Theory was very upfront about trying to make a movie type of game. I'm almost glad it's as short as it is because my face would cramp up from the permanent smile on my face when I am playing this game.

I made comments in the past that I thought Nintendo was causing its own shortages to create a "buzz" about the Wii. I was unaware that Nintendo owns its own production facilities unlike Sony and MS.
