I'm excited to see how this turns out, with Resistance Retribution , FFXIII Agito, a back-log of PSP titles I want to play and more and more PS3-PSP functionality, it looks like I might have to finally drop a few dollars and get one of those shiny new PSP3000's.
Maybe SqueEnix is testing some new waters with Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday, It will be interesting how they handle an 3rdPS.

ON TOPIC - Good for 360 owners. I'd like to see some more partnerships from sony, they have several with Gran Turismo TV, but I'd prefer content on PSN without the need of Gran Turismo. Maybe The 1UP Show or something.

Pretty much the only TVs you can buy now are HDTVs, consumer trends lead retailers on adoption rates, and apparently the majority of consumers have decided they no longer need tube TVs.
HDTVs are NOT a LONG way from becoming mainstream. With cable going digital in 2009 and Blu-ray adoption occurring faster than DVDs previously have. I'd say HDTVS are mainstream now, economic troubles or not.

In the end I see the studios deciding the fate of BluRay, and with every major studio now on board it looks like the deal is sealed. Distributors will ease back the production of DVDs as the price of BDs and players decrease.
Most all BD players still play DVDs so it's not like consumers have their DVD libraries relegated as useless. They can still enjoy them. ...

It seems they have tried before, with Crash Bandicoot and Ratchet & Clank (maybe others). Both of which are great IPs and spawned many great games, but they didn't resonate the way LBP is.
