I agree those characters are Sony reps, but mascots?, nope. Ratchet and Clank and Crash are more akin to mascots, however didn't reach the appeal to make people immediately think "Playstation".
All of those can be put aside however for one thing. That is Sackboy.
Sony wants Sackboy as their mascot, they are levering him to be their mascot and it's very possible he will be.

...that aired on network TV wasn't really the intended season 2, very little story development and paled in comparison to season 1. Just so ya know, that's in the most part due to the writers strike at the time.
They decided to release 8 episodes to appease the fans, however they are not truly the intended vision for season 2.

I'm a PS3 owner and am not so blind to think 360 doesn't have great games. Gears of War is Great, Gears 2 may be, Mass Effect, PGR4 and Lost Odyssey makes me want a 360 as does a few other 360 titles, however this game isn't one I'd want.
I can say 360 has great games, but I don't own one. Can you say the same for PS3?

That would be awesome, another title I'd love to see again although not S-E is Dino Crisis. Although I'd be worried if Capcom and S-E remade these games I might be sucked into a time warp.

On the topic of Mario, he will never retire unless Nintendo does. But I do feel Nintendo needs to have a few more IPs. Whoring out Mario to any and every game good or bad is not a good idea. Keep the gems for Mario, give tho games you aren't sure will be amazing to Kirby or something lol.
