This sounds a lot like, “we don’t want to put the resources into making a Battle Royale even though the want is there by the community. Maybe you will make it?” Which is stupid to ask. It’s not like we make games for a living and have free time to do something like that.
I don’t get this whole “it doesn’t matter” narrative. Ive wanted this for forever. I would love to play Fortnite, COD, and Destiny with my PS4 friends since I will not buy those on my PS4 since shooters feel much better on the Xbox and, no, I will not use a CronusMax. I prefer everything about my Xbox, but some of my friends prefer the PS4. Would love to be able to raid with those friends. Add on top of that having to make another Guardian or make another Fortnite account isn’t worth it.

AA games don’t sell as well. Hellblade wasn’t a AA game. It was a AAA indie game. Things are getting complicated.

Now that it’s been done, the flood gates are opened. Just like how the iPhone opened the floodgates for touch screen phones consumers are now asking, “well, why not?” You’re all using examples that are no longer relevant since they were pre-crossplay/cross-progressio n. What has been seen cannot be unseen now that Nintendo and Microsoft have shown it’s possible. Also, I platted God of War and Horizon, so don’t @ me about being a fanboy.

I completely agree. These two games have completely different goals.
The comparisons start and end with the word “pirates”. These are completely different games. One is a social game while one is heavily about ship combat.

I love my PS4 Pro for its exclusive single player stuff and my Xbox One X for everything else (media and multi-plats) with some exclusives peppered in. I feel like having both consoles gives me the best of both worlds without ever needing to touch PCs, the true enemy. 😂
