If a game must be "perfect" to receive a 10/10 score, then no game should ever receive a 10. There is no such thing as perfection, because, if nothing else, it can depend on subjectivity. To me, a 10 represents the best relative to the best, which I beleive Skyrim is. Some do not.
I'm only at about 140 hours, but I can't foresee shelving it for some time. I haven't played anything else since it came out, and I now have a pile of games just waiting to be played.

Seems too underpowered compared to today's PCs. Would think that new hardware ought to at least meet today's standards, if not set the bar. Too little, too late, IMHO.
It's funny until you take an arrow where you pee.
Certainly the game I've played longer than any other, and I'm not done with it yet!
Well, it made a damn fine live-action commercial. That was bad-ass!
I can quit anytime I want to. I just don't want to. It's my lie, and I'm sticking to it.
Wow, so much hate! I was shocked by how buggy Oblivion and Fallout 3 were, to the point I debated getting Skyrim. I have been pleasantly surprised by how few problems I have had with hte PC version. While not absolutely perfect, I feel Skyrim is a superb game.
I usually save often in case of untimely deaths, but I typically play for hours on end (nearly 100 total, so far) without any problems on the PC.
Had no issues during my few hours of play after the update.

There aren't any dragons to fight in my neighborhood.
It's a 10/10 for me after 94 hours since I've had few problems with the PC version and have been enjoying 1080p and hi-res texture mods.
and "preface the above" doesn't make sense
Even if they don't finish, they may end up putting more hours in than with most games. There are few games I have completely finished, unless it's one of those 7 hour campaigns. I'm at about 90 hours with Skyrim, and it has me hooked for many more, I think! Definitely got my money's worth!
At $16, I couldn't help but buy it! Pirating copies is just stupid. If someone is creating something you enjoy, supporting them by paying for it!
I need a "YUS GA MEHL" ringtone.
After seeing the trailer for Skyrim earlier this year, I bought the GOTY Edition of Oblivion pretty cheap off of Steam. I wanted to like it. I tried to like it. I didn't. I tried Fallout 3 and liked it better, but I didn't like it enough to finish it. On top of that, both were so buggy and prone to crashing that I almost skipped Skyrim. Lucky for me, I didn't. I have over 150 hours in Skyrim (so far) and am still loving it!
