I've never been a Cod addict and never will...Not my cup of tea, but if you don't see this as a marketing move, and a brilliant one at that, from sony, there is nothing i can do for you.
Wanted or not Cod is a known franchise, and its esport tournament are well gifted ( one million dollars ) and I doubt that anyone, really involved in esports gives a damn about which console they'll be using to compete.
Yep!!! spend whole lotta money to satisfy the ones that spend less...and are a tiny weeny part of the iceberg aka high end pcs!!!
Then port it to where the butter is made and waste more money adapting its to abide by consoles standards!!!

Much easier than pc for devs but power is on pc side, everyone knows that.
Like most people i buy new hardware for new games and i always keep my older consoles - still have all ps consoles, xbox and x360 and a bunch of others like the dreamcast and snes.
So BC may be a plus for few of us, certainly not me, but i don't see it as a trend changer for any console.
Ms had a good show at gamescom, but let's just settle on this, here...

I laughed when i realize that the competition they were talking about was Macos and Linux...As if the two were real competitors in the pc gaming market!!! What a joke!!!
After all the hate, the game is still one of my favourite, and was a day one buy...
It's really a shame that it got destroyed even before release, for some pathetic, supposed flaws while some old shit is praised to heavens.

I really hope there gonna be a sequel, but highly doubt it, as the game did not reach its sales goals...But there's still hope.
