Why would playing the game on xbox make the game better for you?
I've only had to hard reset once, while playing Halo MCC. Though I've got one of the the newer models, so many it's improved?

I explained WHY I think the Rift is too expensive, if you read it again. It's not a question of affordability; it's a question of value. What am I getting out of the product that I'm spending so much money on? Is it worth the price? That's what I mean.
I've got a GTX 980, A Core i7-2600K OC'd + liquid cooled, 16GB of RAM, a 80+ Gold PSU, and also a blu-ray drive. My specs are in the top 5% of PC gamers, and yet I think the Rift is too expensive.
When we spend £300-£500 on GPUs, we know EXACTLY what we're going to get out of it. We know that the games will run better, on max settings, and also, ALL games will work on it. Same with CPU and RAM. But with the Rift, if I drop £500 on it right now, wher...
Given the fact that no one is actually charged until March, given them plenty of time to actually think things over and possibly cancel their order; doesn't really count as actually selling out. A lot of people on Gaf and Reddit are considering cancelling their orders now that the hype has faded and they're looking at it objectively.

How is 2 months before launch counted as close to launch? The battlefront beta was less than a month before launch...now THAT was close.
What's worse is, now Sony could release PSVR for $500 and say "it's a whole $100 cheaper than the Rift", when in reality it's expensive on its own. And people are going to fall for it.

I gave the demo on Xbox One a go, and I quite enjoyed it. Though I think I'll be getting this on PC, if anything for the increased framerate, and hopefully to remove that god-awful film grain effect.
I'm one of those guys who bought an Xbox One in 2015. I was having a lot of fun on PC and PS4, and I thought "Why should I miss out on the xbox side of the fun?". Got a great deal on Black Friday. Purchased Halo MCC (first time playing halo since it's my first ever Xbox console), and FH2, and boy am I enjoying it.
I've now got the best of all three worlds, and I'm loving it. With the full release of Star Citizen (hopefully), Uncharted, Quantum Break...
8 frames better? Is that what 970 owners say to justify not getting a 980? Don't get me wrong, the 970 is the BEST value for money GPU out there. But saying that the 980 only gives an advantage of 8fps...that's a bit pathetic.
Not a bad deal, but tbf people should really wait for OLED 4K TVs to come down in price...much better than "regular" LED 4K TVs.
Choose your resolution. Choose your settings. Add more power. Steam sales. Price of games at launch close to half of console prices. Use KnB, DS3/4, XBOX 360/One Controller, flight stick, racing wheels, etc.

2 weeks of grinding? Do you just play contact missions? Or maybe just rob grocery stores? Play some heists with a bunch of friends and you'll make a million real quick. That's enough to cover the DLC costs. Yeah, maybe you won't be able to afford the BEST upgrade (e.g. Lowrider DLC), but you might get the 2nd or 3rd best upgrade, but also giving you incentive to do more heists/missions to afford the best stuff.

I game at 1080p with a GTX 980, and even I turn Hairworks off for The Witcher 3. The slightly fancy hair effects isn't worth the drastic fps cost.
Installing an SSD in a console is pointless unless the console OS supports TRIM. Sure it'll be fast in the beginning, but without TRIM, in a few months to a years time, that SSD would become slower than a normal hard drive.
Any games associated with the deleted account will be removed from the ps4.Only other way I can see it is, you can just NOT delete your old UK account, and make a new UK account on the ps4, and use the new account all the time. In that way, you don't lose your games.
You keep saying that the gameplay is mediocre, but it's a third person shooter. What do you expect from it? You can aim, you can shoot, the guns do good damage. As it's post apocalyptic, ammo is rare, supplies are rare, etc. No regenerating health makes it more realistic.
So what else? Now, unless you expect Joel to start shooting lasers out of his eyes, breathing fire, or using his d*ck as a minigun, I don't see anything wrong with the gameplay.
