TLOU never got any points taken away for all the technical problems so why would Titanfall.
I take it you're talking about Second Son since 3 days after that gets released you'll be bored of the short single player only campaign and be back to watching steams of Titanfall on twitch. Don't worry though you'll only have to wait another 7 months till you can get another two days of gameplay out of the Order.
That makes no sense.
"Oculus Rift will probably be a superior product, but if we want VR to work, we need it in a lot of homes."
Well Sony doesn't have nearly the gaming base as PC. Last I heard there's only been 6 million ps4s sold which is just a tiny fraction of people compared to PC.
"A lot of people and families don't have gaming PC that can run Rift. They have cheap laptops, netbooks, Macs, tablets and... cons...
Japan starts broadcasting in 4k this year with the US following shortly after. Japan is broadcasting the 2016 Olympics in 8k while the US cable companies will start 8k in 2020. 4k is a lot closer than people think. 4k tvs are getting really cheap now. During football season I would see 2-3 commercials for 4k tvs every sunday.
@gentle
Ummm because clueless marketing people put it there? If you really think that quote is REAL, then you've never played a REAL sim in your life. Exactly....
"Visually neither pCars (based on 1440p videos) and Assetto Corsa (steam copy") are better looking than GT6 or for that matter Forza 5. /jm2c
"
I can see why you only have 2 bubbles with quotes like that. Still trying to figure out if this is a joke post or not.
"Assetto Corsa looked bad, it remembered me how bad PC games looked back in 2005 (Racer in general, >FIA GT Racing Game< last true Sim at simmode).."
Ok ...
GT and simulator should never be used in the same sentence. Go here for a quick lesson on real racing simulators:

In the very least we're going to have a whole slew of funny videos of people destroying expensive property. People might want to think about having a good spotter till they get used to them.

Really shows how immersive it can be. Now for normal everyday gaming I'm not so sure, but it sure looks like it'd be fun to take a spin on them once in awhile...
Oh you can do more than watch!

Uhh that's not how VR works at all gaming. Ps3 3d uses active shutter glasses which means they render 1 image at a time along with only 1 screens worth of vertices etc etc for 1 eye while the other eye is not rendered at all(the eye not being rendered that frame goes transparent). VR renders 2 images at a time with 2 screens worth of vertices etc etc etc. It is much, much, much more demanding than what the ps3 is doing.
@gob
So stating simple facts about the reality of VR is now trolling? I'm sorry if you can't accept the truth, but it's better to know the facts now then to be disappointed later. It seems like you just can't deal with it, but if it'll help I'll repeat "Greatness Awaits" and "Cerny" over and over to make you feel better. You're not the only one glad I don't live anywhere near your so called "reality". VR cost perfo...
@emad
Of course my tv screen effects my framerate. If my tv screen was only 720p my framerates would skyrocket going down from 1080p on my pc. I'm not really sure what you're saying though because first you say it doesn't then in the next sentence you say it does. VR isn't like a normal tv screen though because it's actually rendering 2 screens while also having to calculate 2x the vertices etc etc so it takes a massive framerate hit. It's pretty commo...
Hope you like your racers running at 10-15 fps then because last I heard it was running at 30fps without vr. Even if they somehow get it to a steady 60fps it'll more than likely take a 50-70% hit in framerate with vr which will lead to a whole lot of barfing and headaches :P
I know all you fanboys love to disagree, but unlike a lot of you, I live in the REAL world where clear-minded people have to deal with something called REALITY.
@scott
Straight from your own article.
" However, the trade-off for 1080p is the game now drops the frame rate slightly more than when it was running in a lower resolution. Digital Foundry say “at worst we’re looking at a drop down to 40fps when the engine is more heavily stressed.”
Game is not 60fps case closed. Love them facts :)
Glad I have it sitting on my phone :)
Really? Maybe you should watch this then.

Funny because I see it in the 30s and 40s a lot yet not even once do I see it running "OVER" 60fps no matter how much you want it to. I love using undeniable facts to backup my claims :)
A game that drops down into the 30s and spends a lot of time in the 40s is not 60fps no matter how much you want it to be.
I did and it's not even close to the quality of those screenshots.
Really? Because it looks nothing like these e3 (bull)shots....

Huh that's not even close to the truth Dragon.
"It took the community to make Dark Souls on PC playable."
I remember playing it with better aa and framerates before the community even got ahold of it. It was very playable the problem was that it was too much like the ps3 version. It took the community to get it up to PC game standards.
