The sooftware: I totally agree with you, it is really exiting times ahead.
Moreover, what I would do if I was MS is to bundle the series x with a month of GPU at 449$ to 499$. It would be enticing for many to be able to play all MS launch exclusives (probably some third party as well) for no extra cost than the console itself. I know I’ll be starting next gen with a series x and get the ps5 once it drops in price and have had some amazing exclusives released
I am more than happy with gamepass ultimate as my only subscription as it really very good value for money and get the exclusives I’m interested in for my PS4.
It really is kind of ironic considering the hazing that xbox has gotten with the wait and wait for what will be good in the future and how the playstations fans tackle the awesomeness that is GPU - “You just wait, it will get really bad”
I think we will have to wait a pretty long time for GPU to not be cons...
I will never ever spend real money on something cosmetic but I will also never ever buy a game with pay to win MTs.
I think it is totally OK even with cosmetic MTs as Gears 5 does it - all new playable content is free for all who have the game.
Insomniac truly makes great games, always have but I don’t see them as world leaders in what they do. Amazing quality, solid, dependable, spectacular track record over a long time but Playground are world champions in what they have delivered. There is nothing better in the same category (in Clarksons voice): In the woooorld! They have my vote as the most talented in their chosen field.
Sitdown: It’s a bit weird to me that not more people are taking in to account that NextBox will be by far the cheapest to to play new Xbox exclusives. A lot of third party will also make early appearances on Game Pass. So taking the cost of playing the newest next gen games on NextBox compared to what the competition is offering I can really see a lot of casuals switching their main gaming platform to NextBox just for the insane value that is Game Pass.

Magic-spats: A streaming service with a top resolution of 720p, big whoop 🙌
Anyone who says it’s not a really good deal must be... must be... no, I don’t know how to describe the insecurities such a person must be lugging around.
Anyway, I use it as a demo service and buy the games I like as I like to have a box for my games. So I can play every one of MS published games day one and wait for a good deal before I buy. I’m actually certain that I will save money in the long run. Especially if you consider that some third party games becomes available quite so...
Wow, pretty sad if that is your general way of looking at things. Are you OK, buddy?
Synthethic: A loud console is a deabreaker, at least for me. I bought the Pro, returned it for another one as it was to loud. Next one equally loud and the third was possibly even worse. And I play on a DLP projector which isn’t close to whisper quiet but the Pro’s I’ve tried have all been drowning the sound from the projector. For me it’s utterly garbage and for sure a dealbreaker.
AK: What do you base that prediction on?
When you sub for game pass ultimate for 1$, all months you have lett with gold and game pass gets converted to game pass ultimate. So if you have 36 months of gold and get game pass ultimate for a dollar you will get game pass ultimate for 36 months. Pretty sweet deal. For a maximum conversion to game pass ultimate of three years/36 months.
And when you have converted 36 months of game pass ultimate you will have access to all Microsoft first party nextgen for peanuts and probably some third party next gen as well. I can see myself getting a Scarlett just because I already have plenty of games for it.
UnHoly: Crazy good deal but I can really see why they did that. What will people do when nextgen arrives in oh 18 months and they have a valid subscription that will play a lot of nextgen games as well as getting a couple for free each month? Hell, I only got 26 month with my upgrade but I can sure see myself with a Scarlett with a lot of available nextgen games from day one.
Hmm, as I see it there has never been a better time to switch console and that is only due to the fact that both Sony and MS have stated that we have seen the end of generations meaning your current console will play the new generation of games as well. And as One X has showed resolutions and some extra graphical features doesn’t make a game in any way better, as everyone here is fast to point out, and that means you can keep your current console and still play all the new exclusives for that...
The OG Xbox was pretty much killed by piracy.
SPEAKx: Yeah, II guess you are partly right in the thought that if you own the hardware you should be free to modify it to your hearts desire. Surely you shouldn’t be put in jail for modifying your own system, I agree on that.
But, but, buuuuht if you sell a modified system with pirated games preinstalled I’m sure you can agree that a hefty fine is in order, right?
I personally really liked all three of the newest games but as a very old gymnast I’m seriously bummed that they have removed her athletic skills. I really liked when she did her handstand to get up ledges and I had much fun in trying to see how long routines where possible to string together.
Bisarro: Agents of Mayhem
I upgraded to X two weeks ago and I don’t regret that at all. And I don’t even have a 4K screen but it really makes a noticable difference on my 108” 1080p DLP projector.
I hope MS bundles the series x with game pass ultimate for at least a month. Killer deal to be able to play all ms launch games for only the cost of the console. I think it will be hard for Sony to top that deal but I’d love if they tried.
