CaptH: I think MS will go the route of Forza Horizon 5 where they will have the complete game on Gamepass and sell the upgrade to the Delux edition. I’m totally fine with MS doing that.

Wow, this really makes the series s with gamepass ultimate for 25$/month for two years an amazing deal at least.
I don’t think that the controller not being backwards compatible is a big thing but I have two high end wheels for Xbox 1 and I’m really happy that I can keep using them with the series X.
Anubusgold: Thing is that for all other storefronts games are being sold but on xcloud nothing is being sold through the Apple app (I think) so how can Apple think that they should get 30% of what the game is currently selling for?
In my mind they can’t continue with that practice for streaming platforms where you only play games available on a subscription service and I think they will add the possibility to play games you already own as well.

@neutralgamer: But this time two consoles actually makes sense. If all else is the same and the only difference is the tflops it’s quite easy to see than one will be a 1080P console and the other will be a 4K console. A 1080P image is exactly one fourth of a 4K image. See, for once having two consoles actually makes sense as they would perform exactly the same only in different resolutions.
Z501: I totalt agree with you. Ownership is a lot more valuable than a rental that’s why I love GPU as it is excellent as a demo service. I have actually bought more games since I got GPU but at better prices as I could wait for a sale and still play the game day one. Let’s not forget the 20% discount you get as a GPU subscriber.
All in all a great service.
@Slish83: Lockhart makes perfect sense as a 1080P only box. As I think it will take quite some time before I upgrade my projector to a 4K one I would go for a cheaper 1080P only box if it is available. For me it needs to have a disc reader though as I got a couple of hundreds 360+x1 games on disc.
All other improvements like CPU, memory, SSD, I/O will make it vastly more powerful than the One X in 1080P.
I have two of the first Elite and really love that controller. Will get a Series 2 as it is compatible with Series X as well.

I have every game starting from COD2 and I will continue to buy them but the last four-five years I have waited for a substantial price drop before buying. I’m mostly interested in the campaign so I have no trouble waiting for the price to drop.
I also love the fact I can play the whole series on my One X
They haven’t but they stopped with that marketing ploy after the Xbox incident. Feels pretty good, I used it for multiple items. Once I left the store with 32 movies on dvd without paying anything.
I made a killer deal on the first Xbox. A big electronics store in Sweden matched prices + 100% extra. If they sold something for 100$ and you could find it for 50$ they covered the difference + 100% i.e 50$. In that example you got whatever you bought for free. And you had 30 days after the purchase to claim your reimbursement.
When ms released the Xbox in Sweden they priced it far to high and after about a month they realised their mistake and announced that the price would be lowe...
Why can't people understand that they will make the game for the SX, really take advantage of all bells and whistles and then gimp the hell out of the One version until they get it to run on the One. Just to show off the new hardware, really show the difference.

I know I’ll be getting the SX day one as I’ll be able to play all of Microsoft’s release games with game pass. With the SX I will also be able to play all the Xbox games I already own. Not insignificant as I have more than 500 games installed on my X.
I might get a ps5 down the line for the few exclusives they have that interest me.
