i have been playing resistance from the first game. i have NEVER shot or seen one alien/extraterestrial in any of the games. just shows how lacking of information you are about the franchise.

sony does do a rather crappy job marketing. i mean during any sony commercials they tend to show no gameplay to make someone want to buy the game, just rely on KB's comedy. sony did release a commercial for R3 with plaenty of gameplay, but ive seen it once and the KB/move one 5 times.
given many PS3 exclusives dont sell high numbers like call of duty. theres no reason why PS3 owners pass on these games. there AAA top quality games, how could you pass on them? it bugs me...
the beta codes packaged with socom 4 were supposed to start in june i thought but the psn outage effed everything up. by the time the codes from socom 4 could be used the game had already gone gold. however there were a few players in a closed beta beforehand. i used a socom 4 beta code to play. at the time i didnt find anything wrong with the game. there were a few bugs, like invisibility/invincibility, but those were fixed while in beta form. i think alot of the patched may just be to impro...
ive been curious what its like with the sharpshooter. ive only been using the DS3 on Resistance 3 even though i bought the doomsday edition. i tried it out in KZ3. i thought it was unplayable. i guess it just takes some time of getting used to cuz my friend is having a blast with R3 and the SS. some of my troubles with the SS i think is i shoot with the butt of the SS on my left shoulder naturally, so i end up using my right hand for the left stick+L3, L1/L2. not to mention the image on my tv...

EA, THQ, Disney Interactive, Sony and Ubisoft are the publishers that i know of that implement the online pass. Ubisoft being the latest about a month or so ago
