ACTUALLY, Kameo was $50, and yes...A LAUNCH TITLE; not to mention, a game that started out on TWO previous-gen consoles. Flower had the benefit of MUCH more dev experience with the hardware, and MUCH less going on in the "game", to take resources away from the grass. :/
But that's just it....it IS "just grass". To brag you're pushing a console to it's limits...and doing something that can't be done on others...you need some SUBSTANCE. Show me this grass, with the animals in Afrika, and the open world design of FarCry 2. THAT would tell me the PS3 can do something no other console could do...but not JUST GRASS.
This is a franchise that has NEVER been on an XBOX platform, just like with DMC4. Mentioning the 360's install base advantage is bogus; the FRANCHISE install base is ZERO. EVERYONE who played the previous RE games, played them on a Sony or Nintendo console.
Is GRASS really something worth starting a pissing contest over? Kameo had great grass, but I don't remember anyone saying anything about it. Flower isn't even a GAME....of COURSE they were able to devote a lot to the grass. If you want to impress me with the "power of teh Cell", put grass like this in a game like Oblivion.
...It looks like a big, glow-in-the-dark dildo. I'm sure more than one Wii mom has bought one for just that purpose, under the guise of "it's for my kid". :p
4 hrs is about 50% of the average SP game this gen (not counting RPGs or "sandbox" games). Sure, some of those games had great MP that extended the experience...but some had no MP, or it was tacked-on garbage (The Darkness, Dark Sector, Army of Two, Black Site, etc)
If it's $20 or less...which it will likely be...it's a good deal.
Holding out for the DLC for the PS3? IF it happens, it will be a year away...but I don't see it happening. MS spends $$ on exclusive DLC and marketing; Sony spends $$ on exclusive IPs...and NO marketing, so they fail. MS's method is working the best, thus far.
Don't like the music? MS mandated ALL games support custom soundtracks, way back in 2001. I'm sorry Sony hasn't caught on yet...they tend to lag behind on simp...
...it's basically the same as the core game, but with a new setting and a few added weapons/enemies. If you haven't played it, you're missing out on one of the best games of ALL TIME.
It really is sad how many people STILL think LCD has the best picture quality, and Plasma still has burn in. LCD is actually LAST, behind (1)Plasma and (2)DLP, in ALL categories. LCD is cheap (to mfr)...that's it.
