I was actually told first hand by Microsoft Asian client/vendor support that they don't think Halo Wars is a great game and they are not expecting it to sell. My wife works in 360 live support management so they get the news and sentiment every week in their meetings with MS. They are not terribly optimistic about their chances of success with the Halo brand this Q1. Might be that KZ will have a free run this February.
he doesn't have to factor in cost (yet) as his maths was demonstrating revenue - cost factoring will start you down the road of margins and profit and then that is a real dark art :)
Proof of concept at the moment but they are getting closer and closer - best sell my slim while it still holds a premium...

I have to say, the comments (bar one or two fan boy statements) has just about been the most refreshing learning experience for me in the last few months. Some really smart stuff. This guy didn't even write the article - I have read this article before about 3 weeks to a month ago in a different site - sorry can't find the link.
It got the same abuse here on N4G when it was released originally and it is getting the same abuse now. The site has a right to an opinion, I wont deny them that but the article is a lame copy from another site. I just wish I had the link - this should not have been approved.
Technically I believe it is possible with regular LCD, but as a previous post suggests it needs to be at 120MHZ quality to have any serious effect, however most PC Monitors through interlacing can work with certain glasses - if Sony are smart they will ensure they release an accessory pair of glasses for this that does not require a TV upgrade.
I own a 360 but that's funny hehe,

Nuts I just bought a 60HZ 42" Philips LCD for too much money, so this wont work on anything below 120? wahhhh....

agreed Kharma I didn't notice until late in the year that there were some quality titles out there.
Agreed my friend, you cut the price by one third you have to increase sales by more than one third not to mention all the extra logistics and manufacturing of these extra units to keep the same revenue ticking along from previous lower sales and higher prices.
Also no one has mentioned the subscription service revenue streams in overall revenue and profits for the 360 - currently Microsoft is completely rejigging its overseas vendor relationships for support services (voice-base...
