for mmo's in general and for dcuo in particular you need to listen to the community that is playing it to get a good idea how the game is. just read what the players are saying. yea there are some launch issues but everyone agrees that dcuo is straight up fun.

do you not read the posts of gamers who are playing it. this game is straight up fun. yes ui needs some work, social aspects are lacking n hard to use(at launch). there are some frame rate issues. but for jeff to diss the game as being poor is totally different then what people who own the game are saying.

i am comparing to games like gow3, infamous,crackdown in which the play of dcuo is similar. all games that are played for maybe a month and then you move on to something new, in this way dcuo packs alot of content in your first 30 days even if u choose not to pay for another month of play time

they should of let the ps3 nerd from ign(forget his name) review it. aleast he is a comic book and doesn't seem to have a hard on against mmo's
this guy who reviewed the game has been trashing dcuo before it even was launched. he hated dcuo before he even played it. and I'll bet the whole time he spent with the game,he was trying to find ways to re enforce his hate.
this game is a breath of fresh air in a somewhat stale game market. everyone who plays it likes it.
some might not want to spend the 15 for a extra month but the free 30 days is a great value.

very fair article. shows to different points of view on the game. for me this is my first time ever playing a mmo so every 5 mins i turn to my son(a die hard WOW player) and say what does this do or what does this mean

yes after your 1 free month you could trade the game in. just remember u will get less on a trade because the next user will have to go to psn n get a $15 1 month sub to play the used game.
just thinking maybe 1 way Sony can counter pirates is to require all developers to completely fill all bluray disks with data. 25-50 gig dl's wont be that easy for most INTERNET connections. plus 4 or 5 games will take up a ton of space on hard drives

I'm playing on a PVE server right now. but my son is on the PVP side. which is really the way the game should be played. good times jump in.

surprising how good the combat is and how deep the game play is. cities are huge and varied n having others around working on quests with u is cool
been playing ps3 version 5 hours straight smooth as butter. tons of people on line. very fun game.
i was playing the beta with my son, asked him what does dcuo remind u of. right off he said infamous and the first crackdown. i agree lots of fun. its like the aaa action games i am used to playing on consoles with a rpg feel to it
so is it best to get the game on release day and level up with everyone from the start or is it ok to jump in weeks after luanch. was thinking about waiting to see how the ps3 sales go but don't want to be left behind with some weak a#s char.
been playing the beta with my son last couple of days. he's a hard core PC mmo guy(wow,hon,dota,starcraft) he was showing me the ropes of playing a mmo. game reminds me of a mmo version of the first crackdown on the 360. my son remarked the it reminded him of a mmo version of infamous. both good things in my book.
being a sony fan is ok but to ACKY1 "sony til I die" is lame. just use "BEYOND" as your signature, it makes the point without being dumb

try it out, the game is straight up fun. don't let the sub fees scare you off. even if u get the game n play for the first free month the games a bargain and a blast to play.
BTW u can resell the game. just remember u will get less because new owners will need to buy a subscrip...
