Basically its just a load of servers owned by MS. They are willing to rent them to devs at a reduced cost. If the XBOB bombs and trails the ps4 badly then MS wont be renting servers cheaply any longer and will want to claw money back by asking for full rental price. Dedicated servers on the XBOB are therefore reliant on the console doing well enough for MS to square this with management and the ability of devs to afford renting the cloud over p2p or proxy servers.
