Yes it's gonna push sales as most PS4 exclusives, but it's not gonna sell 20million consoles alone, God of war still doing it's best also a hefty number of spider Man game fans already have a PS4.
What I'd like to see is the number of PS4 pro that's gonna jump in sales after Spider Man release.
That game is really pushing PS4 pro to it's limit.
It's no surprise, even the console version suffers from FPS drops.
But if you gonna release a game 8 months after console release, at least make an effort.
I don't know why most Japanese developers PC port are poorly optimized and run like a$$.
Neglecting PSVR wasn't a business move, it was purely technical.
The game runs 1080p 30fps on base PS4, porting it on PSVR imply sacrificing quality and fidelity.
If it was doable, I don't think ninja theory will pass.
This is the last game from the reboot trilogy, hope it delivers like the other two.
My prediction is that:
-PS4 will push around 120 millions unit by the end of it's cycle.
-Switch around 90 millions.
-XboxOne around 65 millions.
These numbers could change if the nextgen consoles drop after 2020.
But in the end the order will still be the same: PS4, switch then xboxone.
Make it about games and gaming and none of that streaming crap and I'll buy it.
This generation I found myself playing on PS4 80% of the time, I only bought an Xbox one 500gb cause I've got second hand on eBay on a cheap deal, and ended up owning 10 titles only: FH3, Halo MCC, GoW4, Quantum Break, ...
On the other hand my 1tb PS4 hard drive can't hold 1/5 of my games, I've bought 90% of Sony first party games and all big 3rd party titles from EA, Ubisoft, Act...
I don't know why but for me if you only play multiplayer game and despise singleplayer you're not really a gamer in my book.
Singleplayer is the soul of gaming, it's that experience you live by yourself.
It depends from where did you get the rom.
Before Crysis there was the first Far cry with the first cryengine. I remember back in 2003, looking for an upgrade to run the game. That game was really beautiful for it's time especially the color scheme it was so vivid.
I hope that devs in future do more crossover from multiple IPs, it's really fun.
I wish for a new Jak and Daxter.
You and me both.
I really appreciate this from 343i.
Also their saying if modders wish to bring BR to Halo they're ok with it.
I hope they put their resources in a better Halo games.
Can't wait for Halo infinite.
@Asuka
I don't wish them to fail in life, but I do wish that this project so called fallout fail and doesn't meet their expectations.
To every developer who follows the trend and lose their IP identity, taking this risk is your fault.
Many sympathized with the Culling 2 devs after their tremendous fail, well I don't.
They run after the trend of BR and lost what made the first Culling enjoyable.
I hope they fail miserably so they don't even think about doing it again.
I know you are right.
But I really don't care if some fanboy disliked my comments.
I own both consoles and always express my honest opinion.
I'm a gamer since the 90s with the SNES and PS1 as my first two consoles.
Frankly, to each person his opinion and no hard feelings from my part.
Yeah I didn't like the color scheme, wish they made it blue with the spider being red and glossy, that would've been dope.
What made TLOU win the GOTY is that it was a new approach in story telling and gameplay that was never done before, many suggests it's the game of the generation. In the other hand GTA V was another GTA, boring campaign and the online part came a little bit late. It's not even the best GTA.
Now for the first RDR, which is my favorite game of the last generation, R* made a surprise hit, no one predicted it's huge critical acclaim especially after the development nightmare ...
It's not the problem.
The rpcs3 is far from perfect, even with new hardware you can't achieve playable fps.
But with a little time the devteam can optimize it and implement new ways to fix textures, fps, audio...
I'll take enhancement in textures/shaders/NPC numbers/polygon numbers/AI interactions/... over 4k any day.
1440p is the sweet spot for me.
Even 1080p with anti-aliasing.
