Gotta say on this one rain I wouldn't mind it all gong the way of the Dodo including Sony's offering.

What happens when these companies start putting games exclusively on these subscription type service though and its no longer an "option". We are already hearing rumblings of Microsoft in talks with first and third party developers to make exclusive games for their services meaning you wont be playing it on your local hardware which makes it very one way.
