the reason for that is that bungie and MS are trying to hide the fact that they have a dissapointing game on their hands. The BETA proved it and everything from bungie after that has been an attempt at damage control. The graphics may have been tweaked but they won't look much better than the BETA and those WERE HORRIBLE!!!
The 360 is simply not fast or powerful enought to render anything near CGI graphics on maps the size that Halo demands.

This game is AMAZING on the PS3, and from what I hear it blows away the 360 version graphically and in gameplay.
