As much as I love the old NFS games and Hot Pursuit series, I'd never buy it over a Gran Turismo game. Shift couldn't even hold a candle to Prologue and Hot Pursuit is just an arcade game. I love arcade racers, but it has so much less in the game that it's just not worth buying if you only can buy one(I will be getting both though).

No there aren't... You got Forza(which is not releasing this year) and nothing else really. Canceling a preorder just over a delay is stupid, you will feel like shit when it comes out and it's the best racing game out. Enjoy your inferior crap!

Got it preordered already! :) This game is going to be great and I'm loving the course marker feature, why would you complain about a feature that is above anything the competition has?
What will VGChartz have to go off of now? The US was their only dependable source and now if the manufacturer doesn't report it, they won't have months of data....
Yeah but those sold 10 million over how many years? It took GT3 nearly 10 years to reach 13 million, it didn't do that in a few months. It'll sell well to many people who are into cars and many people don't even know about it yet because there has been no advertising yet.
@dtrain, that is stupid. So what if you prefer arcade racing games more? That hasn't stopped GT from doing well in the past and GT is a game that generally gets non-gamers into buying a Playstation. It will be advertised heavily to racing and car fans, not so much gamers...
@VGCharts, GT3 launched at a time when PS2 had a smaller install base than the PS3 has right now so I don't think it will have an effect.

Um the story wasn't anything special in KZ2 but the campaign was freaking great! The cover gameplay was introduced to FPS, the AI blew AI from other FPSs away, and the general gameplay was excellent(although everything can be improved). The story left much to be desired though.

Weak sauce, the game's just as good as it always was. Sure it aged some but a 3/5 is the lowest you could go.
Remove MS and replace it with Sega... Ah, only one can hope... Seriously, Sega > Microsoft.
Sure it wasn't that great of a launch, but it was better than PS2's launch and 360's launch. PS2 launch sucked harder and the 360 had nothing, it just got hyped due to the fact that it was the first new console(ala Dreamcast which had the same effect until the hype was crushed and Sega made stupid business moves).
That would certainly fit in with a 3 day delay to rebuild the code & test on a 3.50 flavoured SDK. It also indicates why they haven’t given a new date yet. Until they have tested the changes and made sure it doesn’t introduce a load more work, they can’t be sure if there may be other delays
